NBA Fantasy Picks: DraftKings + FanDuel Boom Candidates

Giannis Antetokounmpo vs. Thunder: $11,300/$10,800

38.6% DraftKings Boom/41.8% FanDuel Boom

Yesterday was a disaster for the Bucks. Playing the Raptors, who were missing Kyle Lowry, Milwaukee got crushed in a game that was never especially competitive. The Boom/Bust tool likes tonight for both Giannis and Khris Middleton to bounce back. Giannis has the best boom odds of any player on DraftKings and the fifth best on FanDuel. The only slight concern I have here is a potential blowout since the Bucks are favored by double digits. As long as the game is close, Giannis and Middleton should continue to play extended minutes with increased usage since Jrue Holiday remains out.

Michael Carter-Williams vs. Warriors: $5,100/$4,500

21.4% DraftKings Boom/49.2% FanDuel Boom

As the Magic continue to deal with injuries, Carter-Williams is back in the starting lineup without a playing time restriction. He is playing around 30 minutes to per game to fill the void left behind from injuries to Cole Anthony and Markelle Fultz. Since he scores about a fantasy point per minute, this makes Carter-Williams’ price too cheap, even though it is slightly up from a couple games ago. He is in a pace-up matchup against the Warriors, who could play without their best defender tonight in Draymond Green since he’s listed as questionable.

Cedi Osman vs. Nuggets: $4,800/$4,200

20.5% DraftKings Boom/36% FanDuel Boom

Osman is one of my favorite value plays on tonight’s slate. Since Kevin Love, Larry Nance Jr., Taurean Prince and Andre Drummond are all out, Osman is back in Cleveland’s starting lineup. In a similar situation, Osman started last game and played 35 minutes while scoring 38.5 DraftKings points. For the season, he averages nearly 30 fantasy points per game as a starter, and that is in 33 minutes. It looks like Osman should play a bit more than his average minutes from previous starts because of the amount of players out for the Cavs.

NBA Fantasy Picks: DraftKings + FanDuel Bust Candidates

Kawhi Leonard vs. Jazz: $9,800/$9,700

66.9% DraftKings Bust/48.4% FanDuel Bust

At the moment, all of the Clippers are fades for me. Wading through their injury report is nearly impossible since Leonard, Paul George, Nicolas Batum and Luke Kennard are all listed as questionable to play. To make this situation even more difficult, this is the last game of the slate. So if players get ruled out, there’s nothing to swap to. This isn’t a team I am willing to take a chance on with the way this slate is setup.
