DraftKings & FanDuel NBA Fantasy Basketball Rankings

*Grades are ordered DraftKings, FanDuel. The initial grade indicates a player’s strength of output, with the value grade indicating their strength as a play in relation to their salary.

PG Devonte’ Graham — Grades: B, C | Values: A, A

The Pelicans moved Devonte’ Graham to the bench since the arrival of CJ McCollum, but Graham has still shown some upside. However, with McCollum in the COVID protocols and Brandon Ingram still out, Graham will be relied on to take most of the heavy lifting tonight. Graham has a 22.9% usage rate playing without McCollum and Ingram since McCollum came to town. He has scored over 20 DraftKings points in four straight games. Awesemo projects Graham to be by far the best value option on both DraftKings and FanDuel, as he also has the highest boom percentage for both sites according to our Boom/Bust Tool.

Not only is Graham in a great usage spot without McCollum and Ingram, but the matchup against the Hornets is fantastic. This game has a 226.5-point total as the Pelicans are three-point home underdogs. The Hornets rank 23rd in defensive rating and third in pace this season. This game environment is perfect for Graham, especially taking advantage of his shot from distance. Graham averages 2.7 made 3-pointers per game, as 69.3% of his field-goal attempts come from behind the arc. The Hornets allow the second-most 3-pointers made with 13.9 per game. Graham leads our ownership projections on both DraftKings and FanDuel. He is a staple for cash games.

PG Luka Doncic — Grades: A, A | Values: C, A

Pairing Graham with Luka Doncic seems like a perfect way to go on this slate at the point guard position. Awesemo projects Doncic to lead the slate in fantasy points tonight, which should be no surprise as he is the highest-priced player on DraftKings and third-highest on FanDuel. Doncic had over 70 DraftKings points in back-to-back games before a dud against the extremely slow-paced Knicks in their most recent game. No one can match the upside that Doncic brings to this slate. In our Boom/Bust Tool, he has the third-highest boom percentage for both sites even at his high salary. He is tough to ignore, especially in this matchup against the Rockets.

After a big home victory over the Lakers, the Rockets are still double-digit home underdogs in this spot. They rank last in defensive rating and first in pace, making this such a good matchup for Doncic. He continues to lead the league with a 37.3% usage rate per game. Doncic also ranks fifth in both points and assists per game. He has 34 double-doubles, which is tied for the league-high among guards, and also has nine triple-doubles. Our ownership projections have Doncic as the most popular pay-up option on both sites, but it is very deserving in this matchup and how well he has been playing lately. There is enough value to pay this salary.

Latest NBA DFS Content

C Rudy Gobert — Grades: A, A | Values: B, A

One of the best plays according to our NBA DFS Rankings is Jazz center Rudy Gobert. The league leader in rebounds, with 14.7 per game, has failed to get double-digit rebounds in only four out of his 51 games played. Gobert also ranks third in the league in blocks with 2.2 per game. He has been one of the most productive centers once again this season. Gobert has averaged 15.5 points per game while shooting a career-high 71.5% from the field. The Jazz will be without Bojan Bogdanovic, who is averaging 18 points per game. Gobert has the second-highest boom percentage on DraftKings and fourth-highest on FanDuel in our Boom/Bust Tool.

There are a lot of different ways that Gobert can attack this matchup against the Spurs. For starters, the Spurs allow the third-most points scored in the paint this season with 51.1 per game. Gobert can also take advantage of the glass, as the Spurs allow the sixth-most total rebounds and are tied for allowing the second-most offensive rebounds per game. Lastly, Gobert’s shot-blocking upside will be on full display, as the Spurs allow opponents to get five blocks per game. The upside in this matchup is incredible for Gobert. He is a preferred option on DraftKings, where he is projected for the third-best value and has the third-highest ownership on the slate.

PF Kristaps Porzingis — Grades: B, B | Values: C, A

As you can tell from the grades and values, Kristaps Porzingis is a much better play on FanDuel tonight than DraftKings. Porzingis has played two games with the Wizards since being acquired. In those two games, he is averaging 22 points per game while shooting 57.7% from the field and 55.6% from behind the arc. The minutes on Porzingis are also ramping up, as he played 21 in his first game and 26 in his last. Awesemo projects Porzingis to play 26.5 minutes tonight, where he is the second-best value option on FanDuel.

The matchup against the Lakers does not present much fear, as they are still playing without Anthony Davis. They are coming off of an overtime loss to the Rockets where they allowed 139 points. The Lakers rank fifth in pace this season, as they have allowed the fifth-most points in the league at 113.2 per game. They also allow the fourth-most points scored in the paint. Porzingis can fill it up at all three levels and should have no trouble in this matchup. Prioritize Porzingis on FanDuel, where he has the second-highest boom percentage in our Boom/Bust Tool. Porzingis is still fine on DraftKings as a tournament play, but on FanDuel he can be used in all formats.
