NFL DFS Lineup Optimizer Projections | DraftKings & FanDuel

*Percentages indicate Optimal Lineup Scores

Cam Akers — DraftKings: 62.7%, FanDuel: 58.8%

Akers returned the final week of the regular season from an Achilles injury suffered in July and has since taken command of the Los Angeles’ backfield. Since returning, his snap share and opportunity share has risen in three consecutive games as he accounted for 24 of the Rams’ 30 rushing attempts last week against Tampa Bay. With 41 rush attempts over their first two playoff games, Akers has also operated as their primary red zone back taking nine carries in that area over the postseason.

The matchup is less than desirable, as San Francisco has allowed a league-leading 3.1 yards per rush attempt over the last three games and held Los Angeles to similar production in their first two regular season meetings. The Rams mustered only 116 rushing yards on 37 attempts in these two regular season losses but will hope to reverse their fortunes in the Championship Round. Akers’ leverage score leverage score (13.9) leads the slate on DraftKings while he remains a top-10 leverage play on FanDuel.

Cooper Kupp — DraftKings: 53.9%, FanDuel: 49.9%

After posting arguably the greatest regular season at the wide receiver position in NFL history, Kupp has continued to shine in the playoffs. Coming off a 183 yard performance including a touchdown and nine receptions, the Eastern Washington product has scored in four consecutive games while surpassing the century mark in six of the last eight. In two games against San Francisco this season, Kupp has turned 20 targets into 18 receptions while producing 240 yards and a score in the process.

Again, the 49ers present a stifling matchup and have gotten the best of the Rams during the regular season. However, allowing 6.4 yards per pass attempt displays the slight advantage in attacking them via the air as opposed to the ground. Matthew Stafford described Kupp as “the heart and soul of this offense” and it’s been evident by his league-leading target share (37.1). San Francisco may have the answer to slowing down this Los Angeles offense but that strategy doesn’t extend to the receiver that leads the league in nearly every statistical measure.

Jerick McKinnon — DraftKings: 50.2%, FanDuel: 45.8%

Darrel Williams and Clyde Edwards-Helaire have been dealing with injuries recently which promoted McKinnon into a prominent playoff role. The Georgia Southern alum has handled a snap share north of 70% in consecutive games while handling 22 rush attempts and seeing 13 targets in the process. He’s produced double-digit fantasy outings in three straight appearances yielding 270 total yards and two scores over that span. Cincinnati has struggled to stop the run lately, allowing the third-most yards per rush attempt (5.5) over the last three weeks.

With a growing role and a favorable matchup, McKinnon projects as a difficult assignment for a Bengals’ defense that allowed the fifth-most receiving yards per game (46.2) to the running back position over the regular season. His ability to impact both the run and pass game from the backfield fits well in a showdown which features the slate’s highest game total (54.5), favoring the home Chiefs by 7-points. Edwards-Helaire was a full participant at practice this week while Williams remained limited for Thursday and Friday’s practices. Expect some sort of committee approach but for McKinnon’s hot hand to be favored early and often.
