It’s Aug. 24, which for obvious reasons (8/24), has been deemed Kobe Bryant Day and also happens to be the day after what would’ve been Kobe’s 42nd birthday. To honor the late legend, DraftKings Sportsbook is giving users some ways to make some easy money by backing the Lakers.
The top promo is for those of you located in Illinois, but there are ways for all of us to cash in on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Not much analysis needed for this one … the Lakers are 7-point favorites in this game, and I’m not going to waste time looking it up, but I doubt they’ve lost by 81 ever. A max bet of $50 is a free $45 into your account.

This one applies in all states that DraftKings Sportsbookis eligible, but like the IL promo, make sure you opt-in before placing your wager. But whether you like the Blazers or the Lakers in Game 4, just place a bet on the 7-point spread for the side you’d like to back, and you’ll almost certainly be rewarded with a free bet.
For each point over 81 that the Lakers put up on the scoreboard, you’ll get $1 added to your free bet. For some perspective, the Lakers scored 116 points in Game 3, which would’ve landed you a $35 free bet. There is not much downside here since there’s no minimum bet on what you need to place to activate the promo.
