Venue: Paul Brown Stadium — Cincinnati, Ohio
Coverage: ESPN
After beginning the season 11-0, the Steelers have dropped back-to-back games. They also were forced to play three games in 12 days after already having their bye week taken away from them. Along with the injuries, they have looked like a tired team. We will see if the extra time off will be just what the doctored ordered. This looks to be a clear get-right week, as Pittsburgh faces a Bengals team that has been out-matched and out-coached all season long.
The Bengals have the worst offense in the league. They have scored just three touchdowns in the past three weeks, and the Steelers defense is still elite despite the injuries stacking up. Cincinnati also allows 6.0 yards per play, which is tied for the third most in the league. The Steelers should be able to put together a long highlight tape on Monday Night Football.
There will be another quarterback switch for Cincinnati, with Brandon Allen hurt. It will be Ryan Finley starting for the Bengals once again. In three starts last season, Finely completed just 47.1% of his passes for 474 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions across his three starts, which were all losses. While Pittsburgh’s defense is banged up, this looks to be a confidence-building matchup.
