5 MUST BET Knicks vs. Jazz NBA Player Props & Betting Picks Tonight | 2/7/22

The Utah Jazz are perfect so far on their six-game homestand and are looking for their third straight win tonight against the struggling New York Knicks. The Jazz continue to be without Rudy Gobert (calf) but have seen Donovan Mitchell shine in his recent return. The Jazz are hoping both Jordan Clarkson and Rudy Gay can play tonight, but otherwise are healthy heading into a favorable home matchup against New York. Utah leads the league with the No. 1 scoring offense, averaging 113.6 points per game.

The Knicks are on the other side of that spectrum, failing to score more than 104.4 points each night, ranking 27th in the NBA. They are healthy too, just not getting the consistent production out of Kemba Walker and Evan Fournier. R.J. Barrett comes off a career-high and Julius Randle was impressive, but the Knicks still blew a 15-point halftime lead to the Lakers. The Knicks have now lost two straight and eight of their last 10 games.

Best Knicks vs. Jazz NBA Bets Today & Odds Shopping

The easiest place to find the best bets in the NBA is on the one-stop-shop for value and where to place a wager. Simply filter, sort the page and find the best return available across all books.

Under 218.5: -108 (BetRivers)

There is this weird trend with the Jazz being unable to cover spreads at home, just 1-12 against the spread in their last thirteen games in Utah. The Knicks have their own streak, winning seven straight games following overtime. While it is much easier to buck the second trend, the point is they are not showing obvious signs of exhaustion. That means the Knicks will play more of their game and the Jazz should still be able to win. Even after checking OddsShopper it is hard to find any line lower than 8, so the best play is going under the point total. The Knicks at their best are not scoring a ton of points and the Jazz may not be covering at home, but they have seen six straight go under. The Knicks do not gain anything with Gobert out as they will not be any more aggressive attacking the rim, nor do they have a powerful presence in the post.

Mitchell Robinson Under 9.5 Rebounds: -138 (FanDuel)

The market may think there is an added boost for Mitchell Robinson without Gobert on the floor, but the data disagrees. Awesemo projects Robinson for 7.7 boards, nearly two fewer rebounds than the book’s total, and OddsShopper has a 75% xWin chance of hitting the bet. The xROI is 29% and there is a slight cost at -138, but the under projects a winner three out of four times. Robinson may have three straight games of hitting at least 10 rebounds but has also shown struggles with continuing these streaks.

Mike Conley Under 3.5 Rebounds: +115 (PointsBet)

Mike Conley comes into this game with a free projection from Awesemo of 3.0 rebounds. While it is not the widest of gaps, OddsShopper provides a strong 65% xWin chance of staying under the total. The xROI is 40% combined with getting plus-money on the return. Conley hovers around this number, as he has failed to go over four rebounds in eleven-straight games. This is certainly worth the risk of getting back +115, as Conley does not have much volatility rebounding the ball.

Donovan Mitchell Over 4.5 Assists: -122 (FanDuel)

Mitchell has been stellar in a short sample since his return and should plow through the Knicks. He should also have an equally easy time passing and setting up his teammates. Awesemo’s projection has Mitchell finishing with 5.5 assists, and OddsShopper has an 18% xROI. The xWin is 65% on the play as Gobert’s absence will not diminish Mitchell’s ability to set up anyone else on the floor. Mitchell comes off a six-assist night in just 22 minutes against the Nets and he could easily duplicate that performance tonight.

Evan Fournier 5+ Made 3’s: +410 (FanDuel)

The Long Distance Launch is right back on the shoulders of Evan Fournier. He is the one Knicks guard who will get plenty of volume shooting the ball from three, and both the Knicks and Jazz love shooting from deep. Utah is third in the NBA in attempts from three and the Knicks are tenth. Barrett and Randle come off giant overtime games so it is a natural swing to rely on Fournier, which means more attempts from behind the arc. The return is north of 4-to-1 because of recent struggles but the volume of attempts has not changed.
