NBA Odds Boosts of the Day: NBA Picks Including LeBron James

Odds boosts are exactly that: Promotions from sportsbooks where they move tin your favor on certain bets. Many of them are prop bets, hoping you’ll put a few dollars on someone to hit a home run or a certain team to score a certain number of goals and still win. Our job is to highlight some of those NBA odds boosts and give you some NBA picks to bet on, if it’s smart to buy into what the sportsbooks are selling. We scour the internet trying to find the best odds boosts for you every day from every sport.

Today was not a good day for odds boosts, if we’re being honest, but I did my best to find some decent ones for you. I landed on a pair of NBA playoffs odds boosts for you to consider to start off your week on a winning note. Let’s get into the best NBA picks and predictions based off the best NBA odds we found on OddsShopper.

LeBron James Scores 30+ Points AND Lakers Win (+225 BetMGM)

What we saw in Game 3 from LeBron is likely what we’ll see for the next few games from the greatest player in the league. He was dominant in the correct ways at the right times, knowing when to be selfish and create his own shot and when to set up teammates to be successful. There are several sportsbooks with NBA betting that have various other odds boosts on James’ success in Game 4, from FanDuel offering +250 odds on a triple-double to DraftKings offering up +120 odds that he and Anthony Davis will both record double-doubles.

I chose this one because the odds were decent, but it also seems the most realistic of the NBA bets offered. James can be dominant and finish with nine assists or nine rebounds to miss out on a double-double or triple-double. Same can be said for Davis missing out on the rebounds for a double-double. But James’ scoring is something that seems far more reliable than any other part of his game. He’s topped 30 points in 21 games this season, and he knows Portland is going to bring the fight tonight in Game 4. So James will respond and dominate to lead the Lakers to a crucial victory in this series.

James Harden Makes 4+ 3-Pointers (-143 PointsBet)

This isn’t as easy of a bet as the odds would lead you to believe, but it’s also the most attainable compared to the NBA odds boosts I left off this list. Harden was 5-of-24 from long range in the past two games after making 6-of-13 in the first game of the series with Oklahoma City. He’s not going to stop shooting the 3-pointers, and he’s due to start making some again for Houston.

Harden has made at least four 3-pointers in 41 of 71 games this season, including the postseason, but he’s done it just four of 10 games in the bubble. We all know that Harden needs to score for the Rockets to have a chance, and he’ll try his best to get things going early from 3-point range. If Oklahoma City is more worried about his driving than his shooting, then he should be able to get close to that number tonight.
