Trail Blazers vs. Suns Same Game NBA Picks & Parlays Tonight | 3/2/22

Wednesday’s NBA slate features eight games, and the matchup between the Trail Blazers and Suns will serve as the nightcap. That may not be an appealing game on the surface — especially with Devin Booker and Chris Paul sidelined — but those absences create some appealing opportunities in the player prop market. Let’s dive into some NBA betting tips tonight and how to find the best NBA picks and parlays for March 2.

Same Game NBA Picks and Parlays: Trail Blazers vs. Suns

The first step is finding which sport you are going to wager on, so the banner at the top of the screen has the sports separated. Once on the NBA page, it is super simple to customize teams and players on the left-hand side of the page.

Now, if you miss one of the odds highlighted in the article because it changed, do not worry. The lines do not always stay the same as they are updated every two minutes. There will be examples of when you can still wager based on the Awesemo projections. It is also easy to sort the props by what style you want to bet them, meaning that you can choose the highest ROI or the highest expected win rate.

Generally, the best approach is a mix of the highest ROI and expected win rate, and this process should take under 30 seconds to filter what you are looking for. The highlighted wagers in the article can also be bet individually, so if the parlay misses by one leg, it is not a total loss.

Cameron Johnson Under 2.5 Assists

With Paul and Booker both out of the lineup, someone is going to have to step up as a distributor for the Suns. That said, Johnson is not that guy. He has seen a slight assist rate bump with both players off the court this season (+3.7%), but that is not enough to make a huge difference. He is averaging just 2.7 assists per 36 minutes in that situation. Awesemo projects Johnson for 28.5 minutes, which puts his median expectation comfortably under this number.

What makes this prop even better is that it is available at a great price across the industry. There are books that offer better than even money, with the best price checking in at around 120. The result is an expected return on investment of 44%.

C.J. Elleby Over 1.5 Assists

Conversely, Elleby should go over on his current assist prop for the Blazers. He is averaging just 1.1 assists per game, but he has not played a significant role for much of the year. However, that is changed recently. Damian Lillard is injured, and the team traded away C.J. McCollum and Norman Powell, leaving the team with plenty of assist opportunities available. Elleby should play more than 30 minutes if this game is competitive, and he has had at least two assists in four of his past seven games.

Drew Eubanks Over 7.5 Rebounds

Eubanks has signed with Blazers, and he has played at least 20.9 minutes in both games. It is hard to get a huge feel for how much he will play on Wednesday – both of the Blazers’ past two games have been blowout losses – but he should stay involved given their frontcourt injuries. Jusuf Nurkic is sidelined for the next month or so, and Justise Winslow is also still out of the lineup.

With that in mind, the over on Eubanks’ rebounding prop has some appeal. He is averaging 11.8 rebounds per 36 minutes this season, so he does not need a ton of playing time to potentially get to eight.

Mikal Bridges Under 16.5 Points

The Suns are going to need some scoring without Paul and Booker, but Bridges should not be hugely impacted by their absences. He is a low-usage player to begin with, and his usage rate has actually decreased by 4.5% over 133 minutes without Paul and Booker this season. That does not bode well for his scoring prospects against the Blazers. It is a great matchup, but taking the under on Bridges’ inflated scoring prop makes too much sense.
