Damian Lillard & LeBron James Score 30+ Points (BetMGM +185)

This might be one of the easiest sells in my time of writing this column. It’s been almost two full weeks since Damian Lillard hasn’t scored 30 in a game and LeBron James doesn’t take kindly to losing in the playoffs. Even when the shots aren’t going falling for Lillard, he’s finding ways to score the ball whether that’s on the perimeter like in Game 1 or getting to the free throw line. He’s just one of those competitors that will not be denied and he knows he needs to score for Portland to have a chance in this series.

Meanwhile, LeBron had a triple-double in Game 1, but all he cares about is the fact the Lakers didn’t win the game. If Los Angeles’ role players can’t improve and James feels the game slipping away, he’ll go into attack mode quickly. James might not even wait to go on the offensive, and might just come out and try to take over the game from the beginning. Either way, it’s hard not to see James having a monstrous offensive effort with his team trailing in the series.

Giannis Antetokounmpo Records 8+ Assists (PointsBet +275)

Most people know Giannis Antetokounmpo for his scoring or his rebounding because those are the stats that stand out more for the Greek big man. But he had at least eight assists in about a quarter of the regular-season games and had seven helpers in the Game 1 loss. He knows he’ll have to do more today to help Milwaukee beat Orlando, but that doesn’t necessarily mean scoring more.

The Bucks are 12-4 when Antetokounmpo has at least eight assists in a game, including 4-0 when he hits 10 assists. When he’s creating for his teammates as well as himself, the Bucks are a far more dangerous team and Milwaukee needs its best after being upset Monday in the opening game of the series. You’re going to see a determined Antetokounmpo taking control of this game in every facet, and that includes distributing to his teammates for easy buckets.

Chris Paul Records Double-Double (+225 DraftKings)

Chris Paul was one assist shy of a triple-double in the first game of this series, so he already has one double-double under his belt. For Oklahoma City to have success, Paul needs to do what he does best and be a facilitator on offense. The Thunder are already trailing in the series, so Paul will feel an even greater need to help get Oklahoma City going offensively.

It’ll be unfair to assume Paul will grab 10 rebounds again in Game 2 because he did it only twice in 70 regular-season games. He did, however, have 13 games with double-digit assists, though he only recorded double-double in eight of those contests. Yet Paul is playing a much different role in this version of the Thunder’s offense than he did in the regular season, and he’s relied on to score more. He’ll both distribute and score in Game 2 to help Oklahoma City stay competitive.

Draft Lottery Bonus (DraftKings)

I’m not smart enough to tell you which team to pick because this really is a random draw, but I wanted to alert you to some boosts in case you were interested. Our friends at DraftKings have boosted the NBA odds on three different teams to win tonight’s NBA Draft Lottery. The Chicago Bulls were lifted to +1190, the Golden State Warriors were bumped up to +545 and the lovable New York Knicks are now at +975. If you have any desire to bet on the lottery outcome, you should keep that in mind.
