Memorial 2022 Betting Picks & PGA Predictions
Ben Rasa’s Pick: Joaquin Niemann
Outright: +4500 (DraftKings Sportsbook)
I am going to stick to my strategy of betting Niemann whenever he is in this 45-1 range across the outright markets. This not being a major makes this number even more appealing, and there is zero doubt he has the talent to beat any field he’s up against. At the Genesis, Niemann went wire to wire against a field of this strength on a course that has some similarities to Muirfield Village. He has been positive with the ball striking in every event in 2022, and he continues to make improvements in the short game. There is no doubt about the talent towards the top of the board, but at 45-1, he has tremendous value for a guy who isn’t that far off from being in that top tier of PGA Tour players.
Geoff Ulrich’s Pick: Sungjae Im
Outright: +3500 (DraftKings) | Top 5: +700 (DraftKings)
I like targeting the 24-year-old Sungjae Im, who looks like one of the more undervalued plays near the mid to top range of the outright board. Im has played well since April, grabbing another top-10 finish at Augusta National, and his 15th-place finish last week at Colonial was strong from several optic points. Since Augusta, Im has tied for 21st and 15th, gaining over two strokes around the greens and over five strokes ball striking in both of those starts. Im’s course history at Muirfield Village leaves a lot to be desired, but he has shown synergy with other golf courses that correlate nicely with Muirfield, most notably Augusta National but also Bay Hill and Torrey Pines. Im has been gaining big strokes on approach and off the tee, so if his putter takes an uptick this week, this bet could easily pay off. The +3500 on offer looks more than fair given both his long-term track record on tough courses and his overall short-term form.

Jason Rouslin’s Pick: Morikawa, Cantlay, SpiethÂ
Finish Position Parlay +4748 (FanDuel)Â
The great success of Collin Morikawa and Patrick Cantlay at Muirfield Village shouldn’t go unnoticed, and while neither of them has shown their top form in the most recent start, Morikawa’s ball striking is there and Cantlay’s top form isn’t far out. Start with a top-five for each of them, matched up with a top-20 from Jordan Spieth, who looks the best tee to green he’s looked since 2015. He only has two top-10s in 10 starts here at Muirfield, but drop that number to top 20 and he’s done it in five starts. Given his form and ability to finish inside that number plenty of times here, it’s a solid third bet to add to any parlay.
