We only have five games on Saturday’s main NBA slate, which is half as many as last night’s ten game bill. Despite the slate size there is still plenty to analyze in Stokastic’s ownership projections to see how to best handle high- and low-owned players to get leverage in NBA DFS tournaments. Let’s get into the top NBA DFS leverage picks and plays for Saturday, including Jock Landale and Kemba Walker.
NBA DFS Leverage Picks & Optimizer Plays
Starting off, Jock Landale is in a great spot against the Pelicans and looks to be under-owned, with only 19.40% of rosters expected to have him on DraftKings. As of this writing, Landale looks like one the top options DFS players can look to for leverage tonight.
Landale is coming off a big time a big time performance against the Clippers in which the Aussie put up 15 points, 10 rebounds, two assists and two steals. He should continue to play big minutes with Deandre Ayton out, so there’s a lot to like about him tonight against the Pelicans. Landale is currently projected to be optimal 29.00% of the time on DraftKings and 14.90% of the time on FanDuel, offering strong leverage on both sites.
Kemba Walker is another player flying way under the radar tonight. He is priced at only $3,100 on DraftKings and $3,800 on FanDuel. He is being projected as one of the chalkier players on the slate, but he’s still not getting nearly enough love on either site. Projected to be optimal a whopping 77.50% of the time on DraftKings and 74.70% of the time on FanDuel, Walker offers massive leverage across both sites. He’s projected for 47.30% ownership on DK and 47.90% on FD. Expect Kemba to have the ball in his hands a ton tonight with both Luka Doncic and Spencer Dinwiddie out for Dallas. He is arguably the top overall play on the slate in all formats.
On the other side, Frank Ntilikina is rating poorly from a leverage perspective on DraftKings in Stokastic’s Boom Bust Tool and might be worth fading. At only $3,000, Ntilikina is projected to be 17.20% owned on DraftKings but has an optimal percentage of just 11.30%. At the flat minimum, it makes sense that Ntilikina is getting love, but with other cheap plays like Kemba Walker and Jock Landale in better spots, it might be wise to stay away from Ntilikina in tournaments.
Situations to Monitor
With just five games on tap, there are only a couple of situations to monitor tonight. Giannis Antetokounmpo is questionable as the Bucks superstar was added to the Milwaukee’s injury report this morning due to left knee soreness. Khris Middleton is already out so if Giannis sits, everybody else on Milwaukee becomes more viable with Jrue Holiday becoming one of the top plays on the slate. Luguentz Dort is also questionable for the Thunder, as the former Arizona State star sprained his right hand last night against Minnesota.
