NBA DFS Pick No. 1: Paul George $8,600 FanDuel $8,100 DraftKings
With Kawhi Leonard likely sitting on a back-to-back for load management, Paul George becomes the top play on the slate. George has averaged 1.59 fantasy points per minute in 382 minutes without Leonard on the floor with a 35.7 usage percentage and 25.1 assist percentage. He will be the focal point of the offense and will be prioritized heavily in my lineups.

NBA DFS Pick No. 2: Trae Young $9,700 FanDuel $10,400 DraftKings
Trae Young gets a dream matchup against the New York Knicks who allow 111.8 points per 100 possessions. He has averaged 1.52 fantasy points per minute with a 34.8 usage percentage and 41.8 assist percentage on the season. Playing 34-plus minutes on average, Young is producing 29.3 points, 9.0 assists, 4.6 rebounds and one steal. Attempting 20.6 shots per game, Young is shooting 44.5% from the field and 37.0% from 3 on 9.3 attempts. Also, he is averaging 47.3 fantasy points per game on the season and has already dropped 48 and 55, fantasy points on the Knicks this year. (*UPDATE) Trae Young is now questionable. Pivot to Elfrid Payton if he doesn’t play.

NBA DFS Pick No. 3: Donovan Mitchell $7,100 FanDuel $7,300 DraftKings
Donovan Mitchell is averaging 1.16 fantasy points per minute with a 30.9 usage percentage and 21.3 assist percentage. Averaging 34.4 minutes per game, Mitchell is posting 24.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists and one steal. He is shooting 45.4% from the field on 19.9 attempts and 35.8% from 3 on 6.6 attempts. Mitchell is getting you 37.4 fantasy points per game for a reasonable price tag and gets a fast-paced Houston Rockets team who have nobody to protect the rim. Plus, the Rockets are allowing the seventh-most points to opposing offenses. Last time these two teams faced off, Mitchell dropped 51 FanDuel points in 36 minutes.
