Prime Time Players

Brandon Ingram: New Orleans Pelicans vs. Los Angeles Lakers

DraftKings $7,900, FanDuel $8,000, Yahoo $34; Ownership Rating (preliminary run): DraftKings 17.9%, FanDuel 20.6% Yahoo 12.8%

For a four games slate, we have a tremendous amount of uncertainty with regards to player health. Anthony Davis (elbow/shoulder) and LeBron James (groin) are on a back-to-back after losing in Memphis last night. Davis played just 25 minutes and only 2.7 in the fourth while LeBron played 34.3 including nearly nine in the final frame. This is the second time that the Lakers have played in New Orleans and it is the fourth game of the series.

Fred VanVleet (shoulder) and Serge Ibaka (knee) are both questionable against Denver as is Paul Millsap (ankle) for the Nuggets. The Pistons figure to be short handed without Luke Kennard and Bruce Brown plus they have questionable tags for Thon Maker (ankle) and Christian Wood (foot) as they head into Sacramento. The Kings will be without Marvin Bagley and Richaun Holmes plus De’Aaron Fox (core) and Cory Joseph (heel) are questionable.

Lastly we get to the Warriors who are on a back-to-back and Draymond Green (knee) and Jordan Poole (foot) were both out last night. Depending on how things work out, we could see seismic shifts in the player pool.

So what does all this mean?

That brings us back to Brandon Ingram. He has been solid in three previous matchups this season against his former team and it doesn’t hurt his cause that LeBron and Davis are dinged up and on a back-to-back. By no means is past performance a precursor to tonight’s results. However, it is nice to see that Ingram’s production is right in line with his season averages when facing the Lakers.

Depending on how things go with the various injury news, there is a decent chance that Ingram is lost in the shuffle as the “stars and scrubs” lineup construction begins in earnest.

Good Value

Brandon Knight: Detroit Pistons at Sacramento Kings

DraftKings $4,100, FanDuel $3,600, Yahoo $10; Ownership Rating (preliminary run): DraftKings 6.1%, FanDuel 5.3% Yahoo 0.4%

This one is pretty straight forward. Reggie Jackson is now with the Clippers and Luke Kennard and Bruce Brown are out of commission. That pretty much leaves Derrick Rose, Langston Galloway and Brandon Knight to handle the point guard duties. Though Knight is essentially the direct backup of Rose, they have played half a dozen minutes together in each of the last two games. I am comfortable putting Knight in for 24-25 minutes tonight in a good matchup.

Damion Lee: Golden State Warriors vs. Washington Wizards

DraftKings $5,600, FanDuel $5,800, Yahoo $15; Ownership Rating (preliminary run): DraftKings 26.2%%, FanDuel 24.3% Yahoo 61.2%

Damion Lee is back in this section for a second straight day. He was outstanding last night with 20 points, five rebounds, eight assists and a steal in 37.0 minutes. The matchup tonight is outstanding as the Wizards like to play fast and are horrendous on defense. While it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Lee flirting with the forty fantasy plateau, something in the low-to-mid thirties is a reasonable projection.

Risky Value

Harry Giles III: Sacramento Kings vs. Detroit Pistons

DraftKings $5,600, FanDuel $5,000, Yahoo $16; Ownership Rating (preliminary run): DraftKings 14.6%, FanDuel 20.4% Yahoo 42.4%

Yes, I know I have been hammering home the message that Harry Giles has been dealing with knee issues for most of his career dating back to his sophomore year of high school. In his 91 NBA games he has played 23.5+ minutes just six times and five of those have been in the last five games. This is the third game in four days for the Kings and Giles is not at a rock bottom price tag anymore.

John Henson: DET at SAC – $10

Alex Len: SAC vs. DET – $10

Svi Mykhailiuk: DET at SAC – $10

NBA DFS Picks: SuperDraft

Andrew Wiggins: Golden State Warriors vs. Washington Wizards – 1.55x multiplier

Marquese Chriss: Golden State Warriors vs. Washington Wizards – 1.70x multiplier

Christian Wood: Detroit Pistons at Sacramento Kings – 1.55x multiplier

Our standout SuperDraft recommendations for today include a pair of teammates facing the Wizards with Andrew Wiggins getting a 55% kicker and Marquese Chriss rolling in with a 70% booster. If Christian Wood were fully healthy he would be a core recommendation on this four game slate. He has been dealing with a sore foot, so even if he does play he could aggravate it and there is no need for the Pistons to push him. Just know the added risk and his likely high popularity.

Final Thoughts

To say we are waiting on a TREMENDOUS amount of news would be an understatement. There are two and a half hours between the first game and the last game of the night, so having backup contingencies will be key.
