Per Stokastic’s expert DFS rankings, Joel Embiid ($11,300 on DraftKings) projects to have the most fantasy points of any player on the slate (55.45). Julius Randle ($10,000) projects out at 48.56 fantasy points. The ownership projection tool shows Embiid being owned in 27.1% of lineups, with Randle owned in 22.9%.
Randle comes into the Sunday night game after notching a double-double in six of his past seven games. He had a massive 28 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists in the OT loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday. Playing in overtime in three of the Knicks’ past five games, Randle has been heavily relied upon, playing at least 34 minutes in each of the team’s last seven games.
The 76ers have similarly been leaning on Joel Embiid, who currently ranks behind just Nikola Jokic in the latest MVP odds update. Embiid has scored at least 30 points in three of the Sixers’ past four games, including a 33-point performance in a win over the San Antonio Spurs on Friday night.
Embiid showed his frustration with the 76ers keeping the lowly Spurs in the game until the fourth quarter, forcing the starters to play more minutes than he felt necessary.
“If we are as good as we think we are, tonight should have been a three-quarter game,” Embiid said, per The Philadelphia Inquirer. “That’s why we need to be locked in from the beginning and show that we have enough lead to make sure the starters don’t play the fourth.”
Embiid is officially listed as questionable for Sunday night as he deals with some foot soreness. The latest NBA DFS predictions obviously hinge on Embiid suiting up for the game. But as long as he’s in the lineup, the Joel Embiid-Julius Randle DFS predictions slightly favor the 76ers center.
