About Alex ‘Awesemo’ Baker
Awesemo started playing daily fantasy sports in 2013 and immediately took the industry by storm. He began developing advanced statistical models not long after graduating Washington University with a degree in mathematics. From there, he began applying his unique models and skills to poker, and eventually as a full-time DFS player. Awesemo has since becoming world-renowned for his DFS projections, which have helped him achieve the rank of the top daily fantasy player walking the planet today.
Competing in mostly guaranteed prize pool tournaments (GPPs), he has ranked in the top three across major sports, including NBA, NFL, NHL, PGA and MLB. He enjoys sharing his knowledge of fantasy sports with new and experienced players alike. Career Highlights: No. 1 Overall Ranking; 14-time FanDuel $100,000 winner, 11-time DraftKings Hundred-Thousandaire; 21-time Live Final qualifier. Awesemo had another strong NBA DFS season in 2018-19, with eight different $100,000-plus wins. Last year, he made over $1 million in NFL DFS with many wins of over $95,000 on FanDuel and a handful wins of $50,000 on DraftKings. He also took home $500,000 in December at the DraftKings Live Fantasy Football Final.
Once again, he releases the actual projections he uses over at Awesemo.com. He does this for all NBA DFS sites, curating them into easy-to-digest tables for your convenience. With these projections and rankings, Awesemo subscribers have access to the very projections Awesemo himself uses on a daily basis.
In addition to those projections, Awesemo hosts weekly office hours on our premium Slack chat as well as the Game Plan Live Stream, answering all your questions on how to become a better DFS player.

March 10 NBA DFS Pick: Damian Lillard
Now, Awesemo sets his sights on today’s NBA slate, with some seriously good matchups on several daily fantasy sites.
NBA DFS Pick: Damian Lillard ($9,100 DraftKings, $9,200 FanDuel) Grades: A, A; Values: B, B
Much of the top guard attention is going to James Harden and Russell Westbrook, and appropriately so, as they are the top-two projected players tonight and Houston has an implied total just under 130. But for those looking to pivot slightly off that chalk, then Damian Lillard presents a strong, slightly less-popular option. Lillard is on a bit of a cold streak, failing to score 30 in five straight with a six-game absence sandwiched in between. However, prior to that, he was rolling in January and February, averaging over 30 and eight in that stretch. He is likely to finish this season with career highs in points, assists and true shooting, so we can take a swing at Lillard to hit some positive regression.
The circumstances for him tonight are decent. Portland is projected for the third-highest team total tonight, and opponent Phoenix has seen their defense slip back towards the bottom, ranking second-to-last in defensive efficiency over the last five. Their pace is steadily declining from the top-10 team they once were, but they are still faster than the Blazers, so this is a pace-up for Lillard. Overall, tonight sets up well for him, and though he is one of the highest-priced guards on the NBA DFS slate, Lillard is cheaper than the absolute top guys and still provides a strong ceiling.
More NBA DFS Picks?????
Awesemo is also targeting another multi-faceted player with double-double potential on this wide open slate. He could be in line for a 60-point night in an optimal matchup. Rostering this player in your daily fantasy lineups could be the key to success heading into into this NBA DFS slate.
