There are nine NBA games tonight, but most of the stars have the night off. There also isn’t much value, but that is likely to change throughout the day. Currently, the most expensive NBA daily fantasy picks aren’t projected for much ownership, but there are a few that stand out above the rest today, namely elite point guard options like Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

NBA Daily Fantasy Picks Today No. 1 – Shai Gilgeous-Alexander

Gilgeous-Alexander is the most expensive player and the highest-projected player on the slate. He has a difficult matchup against Minnesota, who ranks first in adjusted defensive rating. It is in the middle of the league in pace. Gilgeous-Alexander is having an excellent season, however, producing 1.56 DraftKings points per minute in 34.7 minutes per game. Jalen Williams and Josh Giddey are both questionable tonight, and if one or both of them miss the game, then Gilgeous-Alexander’s projection will increase. In particular, Gilgeous-Alexander has produced 1.36 DraftKings points per minute, a 28.0% usage rate and 24.1% assist rate in 493 minutes alongside Williams this season, compared to 1.80 DraftKings points per minute, a 38.3% usage rate and 38.0% assist rate in 411 minutes without Williams on the floor.
NBA Daily Fantasy Picks Today No. 2 – Domantas Sabonis

Sabonis is only available on DraftKings, as FanDuel removed the two 10 p.m. ET games from the slate. He is an appealing option on DraftKings, however, as he doesn’t have to compete with Joel Embiid and Nikola Jokic at the top of the center position tonight. He has the second-highest projection on the slate, behind Gilgeous-Alexander, in a favorable matchup against Portland. The Trail Blazers are in the bottom 10 in adjusted defensive rating, though they are also bottom 10 in pace. Sabonis has produced 1.43 DraftKings points per minute in 34.6 minutes per game in 22 games played with De’Aaron Fox active this season.

- Stokastic’s Ownership Projections: DraftKings: 3.6%/ FanDuel: 9.0%
Young is questionable for tonight’s game against the Bulls, but he participated in shootaround, so it appears he will most likely play. He has an unappealing matchup, as Chicago has played at the slowest pace in the NBA and ranks in the middle of the league in defensive efficiency. Young is more appealing on FanDuel than DraftKings since we can’t roster players from the late games on FanDuel. Sabonis and Fox both look slightly more appealing than Young on DraftKings but aren’t in the player pool on FanDuel. As a result, Young projects to be the highest-owned pay-up option on FanDuel — though he is still a secondary play at just 9% ownership. He has produced 1.45 DraftKings points per minute in 36.3 minutes per game this year.
