Duke vs. Virginia Tech: Virginia Tech Moneyline (+100, DraftKings)
This is my favorite play on Super Tuesday, fading a Duke squad that’s failed every chance to prove itself this season. Virginia Tech has been nothing but solid so far, sitting at 9-2 and 7-4 against the spread. The Hokies have covered five of their last six, and we know Duke seemingly always struggles on its trips to Virginia Tech.
Duke is just 5-2 in seven games this season, and while the record suggest they are doing OK, the 1-6 against the spread tells the real story. Duke got demolished by both Michigan State and Illinois at home as favorites in their two losses. Since then they’ve been struggling just to get by middling ACC teams and failing to cover. This has historically been a down spot for Duke, and the Hokies are probably just the better overall team this season, so getting them at even money at home feels like a gift.
