San Antonio vs. Oklahoma City: Oklahoma City Moneyline (+118, FanDuel)
Kind of a gross game at first glance and an even matchup on the full-season records. The Spurs are 5-5 straight up and 6-4 against the spread, while the Thunder are 5-4 straight up but 6-3 against the spread. Those numbers against the spread have been on the rise lately for Oklahoma City, now winners of three straight and four of their last five. All four of those wins were as underdogs, and it feels like a spot the Thunder should be favored at home.
The Spurs are going in the opposite direction recently. San Antonio started the season with a pair of wins but are just 3-5 since. Despite putting together some momentum in a pair of wins over both Los Angeles teams, DeMar DeRozan’s absence has predictably brought this team back down. The Spurs failed to cover in a narrow win over the Timberwolves, and then without DeRozan the next day, they lost by 8 outright. Those two contests are the only two times the Spurs have been favored this season, making them 0-2 against the spread as the favorite.
With DeRozan still out, getting Oklahoma City at home for plus money is strong value. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has been tremendous over the last few games, and Al Horford has suddenly shown signs of life.
With most books around +115, FanDuel gives us slightly more juice on the home dog here at +118. If you want to play it safe at +2.5, FanDuel also has the best price at -106.
