Bet Nationals ML (+110) vs. Phillies Tonight: Expert MLB Betting Picks | Tuesday, July 27, 2021

Tuesday’s 15-game MLB slate leaves no shortage of action on the diamond. There are a few profitable spots for MLB betting today, and I have outlined some of the MLB Vegas odds and free expert MLB picks and prop bets for today, July 27.

Expert MLB Picks, Predictions & Vegas Odds

Philadelphia Phillies vs. Washington Nationals Moneyline (+110, William Hill)

Over 10.5 Runs (-115, BetMGM)

This is the game with the biggest differential of bets placed/money wagered. The Phillies are getting 63% of the bets placed, while the Nationals are getting 60% of the money wagered. It is not as big as the margins from last night’s games, but it is still enough to take advantage.

It is about time that the Nationals end this five-game losing streak. After all, they are facing Phillies left-hander Matt Moore, and this could be a great way to get the bats going. Last night the Nationals were heartbroken when Andrew McCutchen poked an opposite-field line drive over the right field wall for the win. Washington led the game 5-3 heading into the bottom of the ninth.

Moore’s 1.60 WHIP ranks second worst in MLB amongst qualified starting pitchers. Josh Bell in particular will be in a fantastic spot to get RBIs against Philadelphia. With guys like Trea Turner and Juan Soto setting the table, the outlook should be looking quite optimistic.

Both teams got huge increases to their respective team totals (Phillies 4.9 to 5.5, Nationals 4.7 to 5.1), and that is usually a good indication that runs will go on the scoreboard. In fact, the Nationals and Phillies rank No. 1 and 2 today in terms of increases in team totals.

New York Yankees at Tampa Bay Rays – Under 7.5 Runs (+100, SugarHouse)

An eight-run total would have been ideal, but the even-money odds at 7.5 are appealing too. Both teams saw their team totals decrease (Rays 4.5 to 4.2, Yankees 3.6 to 3.4), so there may be some lights-out pitching this evening.

The Yankees will send Jordan Montgomery to the mound in a big spot against a division rival, and he can handle the moment. It will be nice for him to see a new opponent considering he has seen the Red Sox three times over his last five starts. Montgomery has allowed three runs or fewer in six straight starts and in 10 of his last 11.

Another lefty, Shane McClanahan, will take the ball for the Rays. He is a perfect 4-0 at Tropicana Field this season. Much like Montgomery, McClanahan has done a good job of keeping runs off the board. McClanahan has now allowed three runs or fewer in four straight outings and in six of his last seven.
