NFL Betting Picks: Sunday Wild Card Playoff Football

NFL Prop Bet: Lamar Jackson OVER 68.5 Rushing Yards -112 (DraftKings)

We close out Wild Card Weekend with three more games on Sunday to whittle down the field to the final eight teams. There are two AFC matchups on the schedule, then a lopsided NFC game where the Bears are 10-point underdogs heading into New Orleans. To me the best game on the slate is the 1 p.m. matchup, with Baltimore looking for revenge as a -3 favorite heading into Tennessee.

My favorite player prop from that game is Lamar Jackson‘s yards rushing, which is over/under 68.5. The line is -112 on both sides, a virtual coin toss, but I am leaning towards the over for value. Lamar has returned from COVID on a tear, having won five straight games heading into this rematch against a team that beat him earlier this season as well as in last year’s playoff. A huge reason for the Ravens success has been Jackson’s rushing ability, and that shouldn’t change here.

Over the first six games of the season, Jackson had north of 10 carries just once, but he now has done that in three straight games and eight of his last nine to close the season. That volume isn’t going to change here, as he is going to be relied on even more with the Ravens in a competitive playoff game. In the matchup this year, the Titans held him to 51 yards on the ground, but the 13 carries were solid volume. Jackson is electric in the open field and recently has leaned on his legs, with 80 yards rushing in four of his last five games (all wins).

I like the Ravens in this game and believe they will need Jackson to showcase his dual-threat ability to get out of Nashville with a win. Tennessee has a lot of firepower of their own, and in recent history they have had the Ravens’ number in terms of wins and losses. If anything, that helps this rushing prop, as Jackson tends to lean on the run in the biggest spots. I wouldn’t be shocked to see him hit 15 carries in this game, and if that is the case, I love over 68.5 at just -112.
