UFC Vegas 22 Brunson vs. Holland MMA Betting Odds & Picks

Bruno Silva +130

Looks like we will be targeting the first fight of the night with Bruno Silva taking on newcomer JP Buys! It’s important to mention that Silva is winless in three opportunities in the UFC, but in each fight he has had competitive moments, and won rounds against legitimate competition. Silva is a well-rounded fighter who pushes a high pace throughout, and can win in multiple areas of the fight. Buys will be a threat in the wrestling department, where he is an accredited wrestler. I think Buys will be surprised with Silva’s scrambling ability. Buys hasn’t overcome much adversity within his career, and I tend to favor battle-tested fighters more often than not. I wish we were able to hit this line at a heavier plus money tag, but at +130 it’s still a valuable target.

Adrian Yanez via Decision +325

One of my favorite fighters on the card, Adrian Yanez, will be taking on a tough opponent in Gustavo Lopez. The betting public is fully expecting Yanez to replicate his recent streak of knockout victories, but let’s not discredit Lopez. I believe Yanez will have a clear advantage in the striking department, but Lopez will be tough to put away. Lopez could look to implement some grappling to maintain consciousness, which could stretch this fight out. I understand Yanez has a significant speed advantage in the matchup, but I have to put some respect on Lopez’s toughness. Yanez will put on a striking clinic en route to a decision victory at +325.

Montel Jackson Wins Round 1 +125

In this short-notice replacement fight, we have Montel Jackson taking on newcomer Jesse Strader. Jackson is a massive -650 favorite, making this fight borderline unplayable. Strader is a fighter who brings the action immediately, investing in bodyshots and finishing with looping shots to the head. Jackson understands that Strader is dangerous on the feet, but there are many openings with his recklessness. Jackson’s length will be evident, he can pick him apart from range or finish this fight on the mat whenever he gets uncomfortable. I think Strader will push the issue and force Jackson to finish this fight within the first round at +125.
