Week 14 Sunday NFL Picks + NFL Odds Boosts To Watch | Patrick Mahomes + Josh Allen + Jalen Hurts | 12/13

When it comes to NFL betting, there are often few better wagers to gamble on than NFL odds boosts. They are bets that are exactly what they sound like: Promotions from sportsbooks that move the odds in your favor on certain bets. Most of them are the specific prop bets that you might be searching for by yourself, and oftentimes the odds are fairly enticing. Rarely can you make a lot of money on these bets because of limits, but our job is to highlight the best NFL prop bets and NFL picks to wager on every weeks. We scour the internet trying to find the best NFL odds boosts for you every day from every sportsbook. As the playoff push begins for many teams, let’s dive into the action for this Week 14 Sunday schedule.

It’s a very disappointing slate of odds boosts again for Sunday’s action, largely because of where the sportsbooks decided to focus. Almost every sportsbook had some type of odds boost on Jalen Hurts in his first start, but bettors should beware of Hurts’ matchup against New Orleans. Instead, we focus on two of the better young quarterbacks in the league this year against difficult matchups. We begin in Miami where Patrick Mahomes leads the dynamic Chiefs offense against the Dolphins. Then we’ll head to western New York for a primetime showdown for Josh Allen and the Bills against the Steelers.

Week 14 Sunday NFL Picks + NFL Odds Boosts

NFL Picks: Patrick Mahomes Throws 3+ Touchdown Passes (+140 PointsBet)

It’s always a good idea to bet on Mahomes, especially in this matchup against the Miami secondary. The Dolphins have allowed the second-fewest passing touchdowns in the league, but that largely has to do with the lack of quality quarterbacks they have faced this season. The only two quarterbacks to throw three or more touchdowns against the Dolphins this season are Allen and Kyler Murray, and what those two teams have in common is a multitude of weapons to test the Miami secondary. The Dolphins defense is good, but they’ve also had the luxury of facing quarterbacks Brandon Allen and C.J. Beathard, and the Jets twice this season.

It’s hard to argue that Kansas City doesn’t have plenty of weapons for Mahomes, though he has focused primarily on Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce for most of the scoring. This Chiefs offense has racked up at least 400 yards of total offense four times in the last five games and has seven games with at least 300 yards passing. Mahomes has helped Kansas City have the top-ranked passing offense yet again, and his 31 passing touchdowns are the third most in the league. Miami has struggled against the better quarterbacks in the league, and Mahomes is the best in the NFL right now.

NFL Picks: Josh Allen & Ben Roethlisberger 5+ Combined Touchdowns (+150 PointsBet)

For better or worse, the Steelers have virtually abandoned the running game in recent weeks and put more on Roethlisberger’s shoulder. Pittsburgh has rushed for 100 yards just once in the last seven games, and they were held under 50 yards in four of those games. In the meantime, Roethlisberger has thrown the ball 40 times in the last five weeks, and he’s thrown more than 50 times in both of the last two games. So, if Pittsburgh is going to score against the Bills on Sunday night, it will be through the air. What excites me about this bet is that the same can be said for the Bills offense as well.

Buffalo ranks third in yards passing and fourth in passing touchdowns, though the Bills have tried to re-establish their running game the last two weeks. However, Allen has thrown 10 touchdowns in the last four weeks, including four last week against San Francisco, and he’s been very efficient and accurate with his passes. The Steelers rank second against the pass, so it will be a stiff test for Allen and the Bills offense, but Pittsburgh will also be shorthanded at linebacker. This wager also has the advantage that Allen is not afraid to keep it himself in the red zone with six rushing touchdowns already this season.

NFL Picks: Jalen Hurts Scores 2+ Touchdowns (+110 PointsBet)

This is more of a courtesy posting about the odds boosts around Hurts in his first start than anything else. The Eagles offense is dysfunctional, and they are playing against arguably the best defense in the league. New Orleans has kept three of its last five opponents in the single digits, and none of the Saints’ last five foes have scored more than 16 points. Inserting a rookie quarterback for his first career start into that situation is a recipe for disaster without a strong nucleus around him. And let’s be honest — the Eagles don’t have that type of talent at the skill positions for Hurts to utilize.

[CARUSO]

Doug Pederson made this change because Philadelphia had scored 17 points three straight weeks before last week when they rallied to score 16 against Green Bay. Hurts showed some promise with a nice 32-yard touchdown pass to Greg Ward and 29 yards rushing on five attempts. However, he completed just five of his 12 passing attempts, threw an interception and was sacked three times. The issues with Philadelphia’s offense stem well beyond the quarterback position, so it’s tough to predict Hurts to perform well Sunday.

However, for those super bullish on Hurts, DraftKings is offering +475 odds on Hurts to score three touchdowns on this Saints defense.
