All my PGA DFS content and picks this week are geared toward providing information that will help with your DraftKings and FanDuel daily fantasy golf and PGA odds and betting decisions in the best way possible. With the help of the Awesemo expert , this is the last of the week-long written PGA picks material for DraftKings and FanDuel at the Sanderson Farms Championship.
PGA DFS Picks: Sanderson Farms Championship
If this is your first time joining, I pick 6 to 12 players per week as part of the core, which earn the highest allocation on DFS and are matched with bets across the board.
Last Week’s Recap
The good was mixed with way too much bad a few weeks ago at the Fortinet Championship, as many gamers fell victim to the Jon Rahm trap. Cameron Champ, Emiliano Grillo and Stephan Jaeger did not play much better, all missing the cut. On top of that, I went 0-for-4 in golfers priced under $7,000 last week, an abysmal start to the 2021-2022 season.
Weather
Steady rain is not in the forecast until Sunday, and little wind is projected all week. It should be ideal scoring conditions.

Top PGA DFS Picks for DraftKings and FanDuel
These golfers will have anywhere between 20% and 50% allocation this week.
Will Zalatoris & Sungjae Im
With this field at this course it is rare for everyone over $10,000 to look good, but that is the case here. There are five this week, and all of them have their good qualities. Sam Burns just happens to be the most expensive. Will Zalatoris is the only non-winner of the bunch but seems to be on the verge of one. Corey Conners and Sungjae Im are playing steady golf right now, leaving only Sergio Garcia, who will not want to disappoint as defending champion of the event. FanDuel makes it easier to play Zalatoris and Burns, so Im will get the most exposure on DraftKings. Im has also played well here before coming in second in 2019, while Zalatoris missed the cut in his first trip to Jackson last year.
Harold Varner ($9,100 DraftKings/$10,900 FanDuel)
Speaking of golfers on the shortlist to win a PGA Tour event, Harold Varner is another. With three straight top-16s and four in his last five, Varner is providing consistency and upside. He has been getting it done with his irons and putter as of late, something that should bode well just about anywhere, but especially at an easier course. This will be Varner’s first trip to Mississippi since 2018, when he missed the cut.
Aaron Wise ($8,300 DraftKings/$9,900 FanDuel)
In these weaker fields sometimes it pays to play talent. Wise and Matthew Wolff are likely among the top of the field in in that regard, playing better at points of their career than the two highest-priced golfers in this field. In fact, it would not be surprising if the salaries of these four golfers shrink in their disparity over the next 12 months. Zalatoris and Burns have found consistency, and while Wise was starting to find it, he will need to continue to improve his putting to become a PGA Tour winner again. This will be Wise’s fifth trip to the Country Club of Jackson, having made the cut in his last three and missing it in his first trip back in 2016.
Keith Mitchell ($7,800 DraftKings/$9,200 FanDuel)
Mitchell earned a spot in the BMW Championship for the first in his career after playing well at the Northern Trust. That should give him confidence heading to the new year while he looks to become a multiple-time PGA Tour winner. Mitchell has missed the cut in each of his two other trips to the Sanderson Farms.
Aaron Rai ($7,300/$8,600)
A week after a poor start to his PGA Tour career, Rai comes in underpriced and under-owned. Not much is known about him, but his unique setup has led to great performances around the world. This week should prove to be a good spot for him to make his first cut and contend for the first time.
PGA Picks Under or At $7,200
These golfers will have anywhere between 15% and 25% allocation this week.
John Augenstein ($6,700 DraftKings/ $8,200 FanDuel)
Augenstein struggled in his first eight starts on the PGA Tour, missing the cut in all of them, but he had a breakthrough at the Charles Schwab Challenge, coming in 20th. He then made each of his next two cuts, including a sixth-place finish at the Fortinet Championship. The importance of that top-10 cannot be stressed enough, as he has the whole season to earn starts and FedEx Cup points. He can gain access to the PGA Tour through special temporary membership, or at worst a spot in the Korn Ferry Tour Finals next August.
Wyndham Clark ($6,400 DraftKings/$7,700 FanDuel)
The Achilles heel of Clark’s game is clearly his iron play. But if he just matches the field in the category, he will be in the top 30 of the event. Last week he had three good rounds and only one bad one, showing signs that things may be coming around. His elite length has never been a problem and should help him considerably this week; it is all about the irons for him. His almost-win at the Bermuda Championship last year should put him on the shortlist of golfers that could earn their first PGA Tour victory this year.
Anirban Lahiri ($6,200 DraftKings/$7,500 FanDuel)
A blazing stretch at the end of the season earned Lahiri a playoff berth. It started with a third-place finish at the Barbasol Championship, which is almost the exact same as the event this week. Except for the scoring format, the field and course are both quite similar. He and Wise have the two best prices this week on DraftKings and can open up the ability to roster two golfers priced over $10,000.
