Top 5 DraftKings NBA DFS Picks Today

5. Luguentz Dort, Oklahoma City Thunder

Dort is projected for 32 points at a salary of $5,100, with a goal of 34.5 points. He has been in the optimal lineup 17% of the time and is eligible as a small forward. With 31 minutes of gameplay, he averages a fantasy point per minute and has a significant usage bump with no Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Dort averages 17.5 points, five rebounds, 2.5 assists and a steal per game. Despite a poor performance yesterday, Dort is expected to bounce back, as he plays in a massive pace-up spot against a shorthanded Lakers team. Do not overreact to yesterday’s game; Dort is a fantastic pick for DraftKings NBA DFS lineups.

4. Terry Rozier, Charlotte Hornets

Rozier is a strong DraftKings pick due to his high usage and increased production when LaMelo Ball is out of the lineup. Rozier is projected for 43 points and has a goal of 45, making him a solid value at a price of $7,200. He is also in the optimal lineup 20% of the time. Despite being a massive underdog against the Phoenix Suns, Rozier is expected to play 35 minutes and have a usage rate of 29%, which is a significant increase when compared to his season average. He is projected to score 1.23 fantasy points per minute, which is impressive considering the tough matchup. With Ball out for the rest of the season and no P.J. Washington for the day, Rozier is expected to see his price rise a couple of hundred dollars. Therefore, choosing Rozier today could provide a couple hundred dollars of free value.

3. Dennis Schroder, Los Angeles Lakers

Schroder is projected for 32 points and is priced at $5,400, making him a solid DraftKings pick. With no LeBron James or D’Angelo Russell on the court, Schroder will be running the show at point guard for the Lakers, giving him a 23% usage rate. In his 33 minutes of playtime, Schroder has produced 0.97 fantasy points per minute, averaging 17 points, 6.5 assists, three rebounds and a stock. Additionally, there is a massive pace-up spot against Oklahoma City Thunder, making him an excellent option. He may also have a revenge narrative in play.

2. Anthony Davis, Los Angeles Lakers

Despite being priced at $10,200, Davis is projected for 56 fantasy points and has a goal of 60. He is in the optimal lineup 24% of the time, and with James and Russell out, Davis takes over and dominates. In his last game, Davis put up a double-double of 28 points and 14 rebounds, and his 30% usage rate shows that he will get plenty of opportunities to score. He is playing against a Thunder team that does not have anyone to stop him, making this a dream matchup for him. Davis is a must-have for those looking for a high-scoring pay-up option.

Update: Anthony Davis has been ruled out.

1. Malik Beasley, Los Angeles Lakers

Beasley is the best play for DraftKings today. He is a shooting guard priced at $4,500 and projected for 31 fantasy points, which is also his goal. He is in the optimal lineup 25% of the time. Beasley averages 0.95 fantasy points per minute and should play for around 33 minutes in a pace-up spot against the Thunder. He is the perfect fit for the team, and they cannot afford to take him off the floor. Beasley averages 17.5 points, five rebounds, three assists and a stock. Although his price is low, it does not reconcile with the number of minutes he will play, so he is expected to be over $5,000 pretty soon.
