The NBA continues today with another juicy nine-game Yahoo fantasy basketball slate that sees the return of some big names. James Harden will be making his 76ers debut tonight, which could have fantasy implications for everyone on that team, including Joel Embiid. Indiana will also be getting some players back as Malcolm Brogdon and Isaiah Jackson both look set to return against the Thunder. The largest point total on the slate comes from Houston – Orlando, which has a 235 over/under and plenty of intriguing value options to explore for Yahoo fantasy basketball purposes.

Guard — Dejounte Murray $50

The Spurs take on the Wizards today in what should be a fast-paced matchup between two teams who rank in the bottom-half of the league defensively. Dejounte Murray sets up in a great spot today against a Wizards team that is currently featuring the likes of Raul Neto and Ish Smith at the point guard position. Murray is behind Luka Doncic in the projection today, but it is not by much and he comes at a full $6 discount to Doncic. Both men are great building blocks tonight, but the value with Murray in this solid matchup is much better. He is the one to pay up for at guard tonight when starting Yahoo lineups.

Guard — Jalen Suggs $22

The Magic set up great for daily fantasy basketball value, as the Rockets are in town. Houston is last in points allowed and opposing field goal percentage, which makes it far more likely Jalen Suggs will have a solid game. Suggs was starting to get more run right before the break, and there is no reason to think he will not see 30-plus minutes in what should be a fast-paced game against Houston. With Devin Booker on a back-to-back and James Harden playing his first game as a 76er, paying down at shooting guard feels safer today, and Suggs has the best value score of anyone over $20 at his position. He is ideal to pair with a high-priced point guard.

Forward — Kyle Kuzma $33

The Wizards and Spurs have a close point spread at 3.5 points and a game total that is pushing close to 225.0. Do not be afraid to target the big names in this game, especially as both teams have some massive flaws defensively. Kyle Kuzma should be able to take advantage of a weaker rebounding team in the Spurs, who rank bottom five in overall rebounds and offensive rebounds allowed this year. Kuzma had already been trending well in the rebound category, hitting two double-doubles in his last five games before break, and he should be motivated to move on from one of his worst games of the year against the Nets in his last outing. He is the only power forward projected for over 40 Yahoo points today and comes at a very affordable price tag.

Forward — Jimmy Butler $39

Small forward is another spot to save a little extra cash and help make lineups more balanced by looking a slot or two off the top players. Lebron James is certainly in a good spot against the Clippers coming off rest and with Anthony Davis out, but Jimmy Butler going up against a banged-up Knicks team has just as much appeal. The Knicks seem likely to be without R.J. Barrett today, and that should free up Butler to be more active on the offensive end. Settling for Butler — who is the clear No. 2 at his position in the projections today — is more than fine in this spot.

Center — Christian Wood $31

Houston is just a 3.5-point underdog and have one of their higher implied team totals of the year against a poor Magic team. Enter Christian Wood, who is situated comfortably in the top five for center projections and also has the best value score of anyone in the top five. Like Kuzma above, Wood should be in a great spot to dominate in multiple categories today, as the Magic are one of the worst teams in the league in defensive efficiency but also rank fifth-to-last in rebounds allowed on the year. Wood is a full $23 cheaper than the top option at his position and a good way to keep upside high at center while ensuring maximum value at other positions.

Yahoo NBA DFS Value Play — Quentin Grimes $13

The Knicks could be without Barrett against the Heat or, at the very least, a less-than-100% version of him. Quentin Grimes has seen over 30 minutes of action in four straight games and seems destined for more usage as the Kicks play out the string. From an NBA daily fantasy production standpoint, he provides solid upside at this range and could be a sneaky last-minute target if Barrett is ruled out late.

Yahoo NBA DFS Value Play — Jaxson Hayes $10

The Pelicans inserted Jaxson Hayes into their starting lineup before the All-Star break, and he responded with double-digit points in three straight games. It is no guarantee they will roll with the same kind of bigger lineup today against the Suns, but it also does not seem like Hayes would see his minutes pulled back in any meaningful way after putting up some strong efforts. He has the best pure value score of anyone in the projections today and makes for the ideal punt target. Phoenix is missing a leader in Chris Paul and is on the tail end of a back-to-back, so Hayes is a natural fit for those needing a min-priced punt in Yahoo lineups today.
