CFB Week 10 DFS Picks, Projections and More | November 3

CFB DFS differs from traditional NFL DFS in a few key areas. Rosters do not require a defense and instead incorporate a superflex where a second quarterback can be rostered. With the exception of short slates, using a second quarterback generally makes the most sense. From there, traditional stacking rules and other general football DFS strategies apply (such as looking at college football ownership projections). With that said, let’s get into the CFB Week 10 DFS picks and projections for Friday, November 3.

CFB Week 10 DFS Picks & Projections | Nov. 3

Quarterback

Thomas Castellanos ($6,900): Boston College enters Week 10 as a 2.5-point underdog to Syracuse in a game with a 50.5 total. On the year, Boston College ranks 57th in pace and throws the ball 41.4% of the time. Dual threat signal caller Thomas Castellanos already accounts for 673 rushing yards, while averaging another 193 through the air. Behind this elite rushing and favorable price tag, Castellanos stands out as the top CFB DFS quarterback pick on the slate.

Garrett Shrader ($7,400): A slight favorite here, this looks like a get-right spot for Syracuse. The Orange currently rank 30th in pace and throw the ball 48% of the time. Garrett Shrader hasn’t played well in conference play, but he still possesses an elite dual-threat skill set. Shrader accounts for 316 cumulative rushing yards, while averaging 188.5 as a passer. In the better game environment, he looks like the second-safest option behind Castellanos.

Andrew Peasley ($6,800): A 6.5-point favorite over Colorado State in a game with a 41 total, Andrew Peasley remains in play as a tournament option due to his mobility. Peasley accounts for 186 rushing yards on the year, while averaging 150.7 passing yards. More of a game manager, Peasley remains a deeper GPP option on this CFB DFS slate.

Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi ($6,400): Despite coming in as an underdog, Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi benefits from a Colorado State offense ranked seventh in pace with a 65.8% pass rate. While he accounts for -14 rushing yards this year, Fowler-Nicolosi averages 308.8 yards per game on 41.3 attempts. He remains in the GPP conversation alongside Peasley.

Running Back

Harrison Waylee ($5,700): After returning from injury last week, Harrison Waylee touched the ball just 12 times. However, Wyoming found themselves in a negative game script quickly against Boise State. On the year, Waylee averages 18.2 touches per game and saw at least 19 touches in his two previous contests. Look for game script to work in his favor here.

LeQuint Allen ($7,600): Feature back LeQuint Allen has fallen victim to negative game script in most of Syracuse’s most recent games. Allen still averages 18.4 touches per game and now faces a Boston College defense allowing 4.6 yards per carry to opposing rusher. He also participated in over 80% of Syracuse’s routes last week, giving him a solid floor in the passing game.

Vann Schield ($5,600): Colorado State has dealt with injuries to Avery Morrow and Kobe Johnson at the running back position already this year. Morrow suited up last week, but he only played a handful of snaps. Instead, Vann Schield carried 13 times, while absorbing another three targets in the pass game. Until further notice, Schield should be considered a contrarian feature back for an offense that doesn’t prioritize the running back position.

Kye Robichaux ($6,700): Pat Garwo III hasn’t played in two straight games for Boston College, but his status hasn’t been updated. Without Garwo, Kye Robichaux has touch counts of 25 and 24. Behind him, Alex Broome also has touch counts of six and 19. Robichaux provides more safety for his price, but both offer tournament viability on this CFB DFS slate.

Wide Receiver

Dallin Holker ($5,500): Perhaps the biggest late news situation on the slate, Tory Horton enters this contest with the questionable tag after exiting last week. Largely unaffected by the Horton news, tight end Dallin Holker averages 9.8 targets per game over Colorado State’s last four games, while playing almost every snap. If Horton misses, receivers Louis Brown IV, Justus Ross-Simmons, and Dylan Goffney would all become more attractive plays in increased roles.

Damien Alford ($4,800): Syracuse recently returned Isaiah Jones from injury, but Umari Hatcher left last week with a head injury. Despite all of the moving parts, Damien Alford has remained Syracuse’s top receiver with seven targets in back-to-back games.

Wyatt Wieland ($4,700): While Wyoming’s passing attack doesn’t stand out, a two-game slate keeps their pass catchers in the tournament conversation. Specifically, Wyatt Wieland stands out as the team’s top pass catcher. On the year, he averages 31.3 yards per game on 5.4 targets. Tight end Treyton Welch also remains interesting as a salary-saver for CFB DFS tournaments.

Joseph Griffin Jr. ($4,600): Another late new situation for Boston College, Ryan O’Keefe draws the questionable tag after reportedly being close last week. He would become the top receiving option if active. However, Joseph Griffin Jr. has assumed that role lately, seeing six targets on a 78% route share last week. Interestingly, Boston College fed Dino Tomlin an 81% route share, while Lewis Bond and Jaden Williams came in at 63% and 56%. With the recent shifts, Tomlin also looks interesting for tournaments.
