NBA Daily Fantasy Picks Today No. 1 – Luka Doncic

- Stokastic’s Ownership Projections: DraftKings: 28.4%/ FanDuel: 10.6%
Doncic has an unappealing matchup tonight against the Cavaliers, but he is still the highest-projected player on the slate by a wide margin. Cleveland has played at a bottom-10 pace this season and ranks in the top 10 in adjusted defensive rating. Dallas will still be without Kyrie Irving, however, which should mean massive minutes for Doncic. In 12 games without Irving this year, Doncic has produced 1.77 DraftKings points per minute, a 35.2% usage rate and a 47.2% assist rate in 39.9 minutes per game. By comparison, he has produced 1.68 DraftKings points per minute in 35.0 minutes per game in the 16 that he has played alongside Irving. Doncic himself is questionable tonight, so we will certainly need to keep an eye on his status, but assuming he suits up, he is the top option on the slate.
NBA Daily Fantasy Picks Today No. 2 – Giannis Antetokounmpo

- Stokastic’s Ownership Projections: DraftKings: 7.6%/ FanDuel: 4.1
Antetokounmpo is priced slightly below Doncic but gives up 8-plus points in median projection. As a result, he is projected to be much lower owned than Doncic. He has a favorable matchup since the Nets are resting most of their main players tonight, so Antetokounmpo should be able to have his way in the paint. The game is in Brooklyn, so hopefully the Nets will be able to hang in long enough to force Antetokounmpo to play the fourth quarter. He has produced 1.59 DraftKings points per minute in 35.7 minutes per game in the 22 that he has played with Khris Middleton and Damian Lillard active this season. Antetokounmpo is also questionable tonight, so again, monitor his status.

Gilgeous-Alexander projects similarly to Antetokounmpo at a slightly less expensive price tag. He has a tough matchup against the Knicks, who have played at the league’s third-slowest pace while ranking in the middle of the pack in defensive efficiency. Gilgeous-Alexander has been one of the best players in the NBA this year, ranking behind only Tyrese Haliburton, Nikola Jokic, Doncic and Joel Embiid in offensive Estimated Plus-Minus. From a fantasy standpoint, he has produced 1.57 DraftKings points per minute in 34.7 minutes per game.
