Sunday’s NBA action wraps up a sports-filled weekend with a nine-game featured slate tipping off at 6:00 p.m. ET on both DraftKings and FanDuel. There are several options in the player pool worth analyzing to find the top NBA DFS building blocks and NBA DFS picks for DraftKings and FanDuel lineups, including Giannis Antetokounmpo.
NBA DFS Picks Today: Sunday, April 2
The Association does not have any games on Monday as all eyes will be on the NCAA National Championship Game. Dallas is the only team on a back-to-back, but there are plenty of unknowns lurking on the injury report, phantom or otherwise.
Core Play of the Day — Giannis Antetokounmpo: Milwaukee Bucks-Philadelphia 76ers
- Stokastic’s Preliminary Point Projections: DraftKings: 55.22 | FanDuel: 53.39
- Stokastic’s Preliminary Rostered Projections: DraftKings 4.9% | FanDuel: 3.9%
- DFS Salary: DraftKings: $11,300 | FanDuel: $12,000
Nikola Jokic would be the real prize tonight, as the Warriors are just not equipped to slow him down. However, he is questionable with a calf injury and did miss the last game, so we may not have a status update about his starting prospects. Fortunately, the Bucks take the court in the second-to-last game, which gives us ample time to utilize Giannis Antetokounmpo as a placeholder and excellent consolation prize if Jokic sits again.
Milwaukee has a scant 1.5-game lead over Boston, and the Bucks are only four games ahead of Philadelphia. This would be an important win, which would also keep Giannis and company with homecourt advantage in the postseason if they can take care of business against the 76ers tonight. This is a true island game for the Bucks, as they last played on Thursday when they were embarrassed at home 140-99 by the Celtics. Their next game is Tuesday, and with it being against the shorthanded Wizards, Antetokounmpo and the regulars should get all the minutes they need as 5-point home favorites.
In three prior games this season against the Sixers, Antetokounmpo has averaged 35.2 minutes, 26.7 points, 13.3 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 2.7 combined blocks and steals. This is right in line with his season average of mid-50s fantasy points and, he still has upside in excess of 60 fantasy points if everything breaks his way.
Washington Wizards-New York Knicks
The Wizards have put a big giant stamp on the season and have been mailing it in for weeks, with Bradley Beal and Kyle Kuzma in street clothes. Now Kristaps Porzingis is “sick” and ruled out for a second consecutive game. Monte Morris (ankle) is questionable, which leaves ample minutes and opportunities available for the Washington understudies.
Delon Wright and Deni Avdija are core options on both DraftKings and FanDuel, with Daniel Gafford in the mix as one of many viable center plays. If Morris is out, Jordan Goodwin is an excellent discount dandy, though if Morris plays, this duo will likely split the point guard minutes. Finally, Corey Kispert is popping up in models, but just know that he is very scoring dependent and not the best offensive creator for getting his own shots.
Julius Randle (ankle) is going to be out for at least week, which means that Jalen Brunson, RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley are going to have to carry the offense. This also opens up additional opportunities for Josh Hart, Quintin Grimes and Obi Toppin, though there will be better value options appearing as the injury reports are released throughout the afternoon.

Additional NBA DFS Building Blocks Pick — Sports Betting Opportunities
Delon Wright is a strong option in the DFS world, and we can look to him in the sports wagering market as well. Tonight he has a 1.5 steals prop, and he should be seeing heavy minutes given the thinned-out Washington roster.
This season, Wright is averaging a career-best 2.7 steals per 36 minutes and 1.8 steals per game. In 22 games where he has played at least 24.6 minutes, he has multiple steals on 16 occasions.
NBA Bet Pro has the 30-year-old projected for 32.6 minutes and 2.41 steals. This equates to a 54% chance of a multi-steal game, and the current line of +115 at BetMGM provides a solid 4% expected ROI.

Los Angeles Lakers-Houston Rockets
Now is the time for LeBron James and Anthony Davis to nab a third consecutive victory and move one step closer to escaping the chaos of the Play-In Tournament. The Rockets are not going to make it easy on their home court, and they have been giving their youngsters ample run now that they have assured themselves a bottom-three record and a co-share of the most lottery balls.
The Lakers are double-digit favorites and should win this game, though the Rockets are pesky enough that James and Davis are likely to both play mid-30s minutes. Unless one of this dynamic duo is out for some unexpected reason, the rest of the team are below average fantasy options with everyone healthy.
Kevin Porter Jr. has posted two monster fantasy games, averaging 38.7 minutes and 21.0 field goal attempts with a 54.8% conversion rate, including a 47.8% success rate on 23 3-point attempts in these appearances. This has culminated in 32.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 3.5 steals. He is averaging 37 minutes per game over his last 11 outings, so we should give him strong consideration in all formats tonight.
Jalen Green is also a fun tournament target, with 30 or more points in four of his last eight games, including 32 against Detroit on Friday. Alperen Sengun is back on track, and he has a pair of 40-fantasy-point performances in his last two games while averaging nearly 34 minutes. Depending on your DFS site of choice, KJ Martin Jr., Jabari Smith and Tari Eason are also in the mix as roster fillers.
