CBB DFS DraftKings + FanDuel Breakdown: Wednesday, 2/12 (FREE)

Welcome back to another night of CBB DFS fun! This Wednesday slate has 10 games on the docket and the sites agreeing for the most part on the slate. We also have a few games tonight with high over/unders, so there will be plenty of offense to play with. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out @VarneyDFS. Without further ado, let’s get into some CBB DFS picks from Kendric Davis to Samir Doughty. Let’s dig in and take down this slate.

FanDuel and DraftKings CBB DFS Targets

CBB DFS Guards

Kendric Davis – SMU – FanDuel $8,200 DraftKings $8,200

SMU and UConn face off in what Vegas expects to be an extremely close game. The Mustangs play at a snail’s pace on most nights, ranking 294th in possessions per game. The Huskies, on the other hand, rank 94th and they’ll force SMU to pick up the pace. Davis is already lethal at a slower pace, and he’s deadly when given the freedom to get out in transition. He is consistently over 35 fantasy points and plays nearly every minute as the Mustangs have no firepower when he’s off the floor. He double-doubled in each of the last two games and had 40-plus fantasy points in each. Against a fast-paced UConn team that struggles defensively, I see Davis easily over 40 fantasy points once again.

Samir Doughty – Auburn – FanDuel $6,600 DraftKings $6,800

This Alabama-Auburn game is one we should be targeting plenty as the 156 over/under is 10 points higher than any other game. Both of these teams play incredibly fast, but Alabama plays at one of the fastest paces in the country and they have a terrible defense. Most will get exposure with Kira Lewis Jr., but the Crimson Tide will be playing down in pace. I love a few of these Auburn Tigers in turn and Doughty is the top dog at guard. He’s locked into huge minutes and his 25% usage gives him a strong floor in this game. J’Von McCormick is cheaper than Doughty and an excellent tournament play.

Alpha Diallo – Providence – FanDuel $6,200

Diallo was expected to consistently light up the stat sheet and that’s exactly what he did to start the season. He’s since slowed down, but the do-it-all guard is still averaging 12.9 points, 7.7 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.7 steals a game. Providence draws a matchup with St. John’s, who plays extremely fast and is a dream matchup for Diallo. He’s going to play his usual 34 to 37 minutes and he’s one of the safer options on the slate with his price depressed. I like Diallo in both cash games and tournaments. He’s only in play on FanDuel, so you’ll have to look elsewhere on DraftKings.

Jaden Shackelford – Alabama – FanDuel $5,100 DraftKings $6,100

Kira Lewis Jr. and John Petty are the easy choices on Alabama, and neither are bad plays, but I’d rather target a superstar playing up in pace. We’ll instead save some with our Crimson Tide exposure and grab Shackelford, who I see as the biggest value on the slate on FanDuel. He plays as much as anyone on the team, eclipsing 38 minutes in three of the last four. He matches up perfectly with guard-heavy Auburn and should be in there for another 38 to 40 minutes. We’ve already touched on how fast this game will be played and the 156 (and growing) over/under indicates that. There is no problem with having four players from this game. Shackelford is safe in all formats and a cash game lock.

Justin Moore – Villanova – FanDuel $4,500 DraftKings $5,100

Villanova is going to be playing up in pace tonight against a Marquette squad that struggles defensively. Moore doesn’t have the highest usage on the Wildcats, but he plays big minutes and this is a perfect matchup. In a matchup with the same Marquette team earlier this season, Moore played 31 minutes and posted 30 fantasy points. I expect a similar performance tonight and he’s simply too cheap on both sites. Collin Gillespie is in play for Villanova if you have the funds.

Consider – Markus Howard (Marquette), Tyson Jolly (SMU), Devon Dotson (Kansas), Geo Baker (Rutgers)

CBB DFS Forwards

Isaac Okoro – Auburn – FanDuel $5,500 DraftKings $6,500

Okoro may not be priced like a superstar, but that’s exactly what he is tonight. Playing in the fastest-paced game against a defense that struggles mightily against bigs, Okoro is going to go nuts. He’s played at least 35 minutes in four straight games and now draws Alex Reese and an Alabama interior that ranks 312th in defensive efficiency. With the discount and matchup considered, Okoro is a guy I’m willing to lock in across the board. His ceiling is in the 50s with a floor around 25. Okoro won’t be heavily owned either, as nobody in CBB DFS ever is. He’s my favorite play on the slate.

Brady Manek – Oklahoma – FanDuel $6,500 DraftKings $7,700

Kristian Doolittle is in play here too, but he’s more expensive and Manek is the one with more upside. If he can get his 3-point shot rolling, 40 fantasy points becomes a very real possibility for the big man. This game has the third-highest total on the board as both teams like to get up in pace. Iowa State struggles down low and I expect Manek to double-double with ease here. The Cyclones not only rank 234th in defensive efficiency, but they play fast and will let Oklahoma open their offense up. Give me the discount with Manek over Doolittle and I like him in both cash games and tournaments.

Isiaha Mike – SMU – FanDuel $6,700 DraftKings $7,800

With SMU seeing a huge uptick in pace, you can fit a couple of these guys in there as their price is just too low on both sites. Mike is the Mustangs’ best big man and he’s been over 32 minutes in four of the last five games. He scores and rebounds just fine, but he can dominate the stat sheet with steals and blocks. Mike is priced down on both FanDuel and DraftKings and he’s a guy I’m a fan of in all formats.

Saddiq Bey – Villanova – FanDuel $6,400 DraftKings $7,400

Villanova is seeing an uptick in pace tonight against Marquette and you can play Bey along with Moore. Bey is the Wildcats’ leading-scorer and he’s an excellent shot creator. Villanova is going to be forced to play faster than usual tonight and they’ll need Bey and his athleticism to keep up. He’s cheaper than Jeremiah Robinson-Earl on both sites and is just as safe with even more upside. On the other side of this game, Sacar Anim is a great tournament option who shouldn’t be used in cash games.

Isaiah Livers – Michigan – FanDuel $5,000 DraftKings $5,300

Livers is back to a full go for the Michigan Wolverines and it’s hard to avoid him until the price catches up. The matchup isn’t fast against Northwestern, but Michigan needs the scoring punch of Livers badly and he’s never afraid to let it fly. With his price still low on both sites, you can deploy him in all formats for some solid value at the forward position.

Consider – Udoka Azubuike (Kansas), Kerry Blackshear Jr. (Florida), Khalid Moore (Georgia Tech), Austin Wiley (Auburn)
