Derrick Henry’s Fantasy Production in 2020
As a consensus first-round pick, Henry made himself worth his draft price by recording 2,027 yards rushing (first) on 378 carries (first). He also had 19 receptions (44th) on 31 targets (36th) for 114 yards (58th) and 17 total touchdowns (second). Henry’s rushing total was the fifth highest in NFL history.
Titans Offseason Changes
The biggest offseason change for the Titans was bringing in Jones from the Falcons. But they also had to let Corey Davis go to make this move happen. Even with the addition of Jones, the team should still be running the ball at a similar pace, or possibly even more if they build early leads.
Derrick Henry’s Fantasy Outlook in 2021
While there is some talk of increased receiving work for Henry, the odds of that happening are slim to none. Regardless of whether or not he gets a slight uptick of targets in 2021, Henry is still a safe bet to be a top-five running back. It is almost as if he is being drafted at his floor and his ceiling at the exact same time; without injuries ahead of him, it is tough for a running back with no receiving upside to finish No. 1. But he also is safe because of the immense amount of rushing volume. Just draft Henry in the top five picks and expect a running back somewhere between RB2 and 5.
