NBA DFS Pick No. 1: Russell Westbrook $11,000 FanDuel $10,400 DraftKings
Russell Westbrook is my top play on this NBA DFS slate regardless of position. He has been fantastic over the last month, averaging 1.59 fantasy points per minute with a 36.1 usage percentage and 34.6 assist percentage. With his 48.2 fantasy points per game on the season, you can fully foster Westbrook. Houston will head to Portland to take on the Trail Blazers and scoring should be plentiful. With the bonus of a not-so-friendly relationship between Westbrook and Damian Lillard, this should be a great game to target for NBA DFS.
*Honorable Mention: Derrick Rose $7,500 FanDuel $7,600 DraftKings
**Honorable Mention: Kyrie Irving $9,300 FanDuel $9,100 DraftKings
NBA DFS Pick No. 2: Damian Lillard $9,800 FanDuel $10,500 DraftKings
Damian Lillard has averaged 1.49 fantasy points per minute with a 32.0 usage percentage over the last month. He ranks second in the league in minutes played (37.0) and fifth in points per game (28.8). As of now, he’s on a heater with three straight insane performances of 78, 64 and 84 FanDuel points. Now he gets to face Westbrook, who he hates, at home in a game that should be high scoring and competitive. It doesn’t get any better than this for NBA DFS, plain and simple.
*Honorable Mention: Dillon Brooks $5,600 FanDuel $6,200 DraftKings
**Honorable Mention: Buddy Hield $6,500 FanDuel $7,100 DraftKings
NBA DFS Pick No. 3: Domantas Sabonis $8,500 FanDuel $9,400 DraftKings
Myles Turner didn’t practice today which puts him on the path of missing his third consecutive game in a row. That will make Domantas Sabonis an even stronger play for me, as Sabonis has averaged 1.45 fantasy points per minute in 245 minutes played without Turner on the court. Sabonis’ usage also increases to 25.3 which has translated into averages of 18.1 points, 12.8 rebounds, 4.6 assist and one combined steal/block. He is shooting 53.7 from the field on 13.5 attempts which contributes to 41.6 fantasy points per game.
*Honorable Mention: Jakob Poeltl $4,400 FanDuel $5,600 DraftKings
**Honorable Mention: Nemanja Bjelica $6,400 FanDuel $6,700 DraftKings
