NBA DFS Building Blocks Today: Monday, November 28
Core Play of the Day — Devin Booker: Phoenix Suns-Sacramento Kings
- Stokastic’s Preliminary Point Projections: DraftKings: 47.37 | FanDuel: 46.01
- Stokastic’s Preliminary Rostered Projections: DraftKings: 9.3% | FanDuel: 16.1%
- DFS Salary: DraftKings: $9,600 | FanDuel: $9,200
Chris Paul (heel) remains out, which increases the usage for Devin Booker. Paul has missed the last three weeks, so while DFS salaries have taken into account his absence, this is too good of a matchup to overlook. Phoenix is one point road favorites tonight, which should make for a spirited game, that also boasts as 232.0 projected total.
Over the last eight games without Paul, Booker has averaged 36.7 minutes and 21.8 field goal attempts including7.1 from beyond the arc. This has culminated in 26.4 points, 6.6 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 1.4 combined blocks and steals. Sacramento is playing at the seventh fastest pace with the third worst defensive efficiency in the league allowing 112.8 points per 100 possessions.
Booker has a solid 40 fantasy point floor with 50 or more fantasy point upside in this matchup making him the core building block of the day. Cameron Payne is also a viable option in lineups with or without Booker as he continues to impress while filling in as the starting point guard.
Tyrese Haliburton: Indiana Pacers-Los Angeles Lakers
- Stokastic’s Preliminary Point Projections: DraftKings: 45.82 | FanDuel: 44.31
- Stokastic’s Preliminary Rostered Projections: DraftKings: 6.4% | FanDuel: 5.3%
- DFS Salary: DraftKings: $9,400 | FanDuel: $9,400
Over the last 10 games, Los Angeles has played at the fastest pace in the league with 103 possessions per 48 minutes, with Indiana only half a possession behind. Both teams eschew defense which has resulted in a lofty 237.0 projected point total.
Tyrese Haliburton has been amazing this season and he leads the league with 11.1 assists, which is 1.7 more than Trae Young. The 22-year-old is also averaging a career best 19.6 points and 4.5 rebounds in an efficient 33.7 minutes per game… but wait there’s more! In addition to the lofty statistical production, Haliburton is still converting 47.7% of his field goals and 37.8% of his 3-pointers, even with the increased usage. FanDuel also is giving us extra incentive to roster him as he has been granted shooting guard edibility.
Anthony Davis is questionable after missing Saturday’s game and if he is out, then LeBron James is a player to target. If both Lakers play, then they are solid in tournaments as they will corral most of the fantasy production for their team.
Additional NBA DFS Building Blocks Picks Today – Sports Wagering Opportunities
Tonight, Karl-Anthony Towns has an 8.5 over/under line on his rebound prop for his road matchup against the Wizards. The Stokastic NBA player projections have him for 9.4 rebounds and a 61% likelihood that he exceeds this threshold. While this looks like a tight outcome, this is currently listed at +105 which gives a healthy 25% expected return on investment (xROI) per OddsShopper.
Kyle Kuzma (back) was out yesterday, and he is one of the better rebounders. Should he miss tonight’s matchup, that would provide a clearer path for Towns who would then only be battling teammate Rudy Gobert and Washington’s Kristaps Porzingas for errant caroms.

Oklahoma City Thunder-New Orleans Pelicans
Do not let the last game dissuade you from rolling out Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Josh Giddey in New Orleans tonight. That was the third game in four nights for the Thunder and the prior two were overtime affairs. This game against the Pelicans has a delicious 235.5 projected point total and the fantasy goodness should fill the air. In the event anyone is out for Oklahoma City, Luguentz Dort, Aleksej Pokusevski and Jalen Williams would bring varying degrees of DFS intrigue.
CJ McCollum (health and safety protocols) is out and Brandon Ingram (toe) is doubtful. Larry Nance Jr. (shoulder) and Naji Marshall (non-COVID related illness) are listed as game time decisions. This makes Zion Williams, Jose Alvarado and Herbert Jones players to target in all formats. If Nance is out, then Jonas Valanciunas is a decent center option at a depressed salary and if Marshall is out, Trey Murphy III enters the mix as another New Orleans discount dandy.
