NBA DFS Value and Advice | February 13

San Antonio Spurs vs. Cleveland Cavaliers

The Spurs are in a tough spot, and the only player offering value is Zach Collins. On the other hand, the Cavaliers have a great matchup and are worth considering despite the blowout risk. Evan Mobley, Darius Garland, Donovan Mitchell and Jarrett Allen are all solid secondary options.

Utah Jazz vs. Indiana Pacers

Collin Sexton and Kelly Olynyk are the most appealing players from Utah, while Walker Kessler, Jordan Clarkson and Lauri Markkanen offer upside. Talen Horton-Tucker is a popular value play, but his recent playing time is a bit misleading due to blowouts and teammate foul trouble. Markkanen is wildly underpriced on FanDuel, and Bennedict Mathurin offers NBA DFS value. However, there isn’t much else outside of deep tournament plays.

Houston Rockets vs. Philadelphia 76ers

Jae’Sean Tate is a good point-per-dollar value now that he is a starter. Jalen Green and Alperen Sengun offer high ceilings, but they are not priorities. It’s a great spot for Joel Embiid and James Harden if you can afford either of them. Tyrese Maxey, De’Anthony Melton and Jalen McDaniels are all cheap enough to offer low-owned upside, but you need to guess right on who gets the minutes. A cheap Tobias Harris is also worth considering.

Atlanta Hawks vs. Charlotte Hornets

Trae Young is the top option from Atlanta, and Clint Capela is in a great spot, but there are a ton of good centers tonight. Mark Williams is arguably the best play on the slate again, and Nick Richards is a natural pivot who would benefit if Williams plays fewer minutes than projected. LaMelo Ball, Terry Rozier and Gordon Hayward are all solid plays.

Denver Nuggets vs. Miami Heat

Nikola Jokic is always a good play, but it’s tough to get to him tonight. He looks better if Jamal Murray sits. Aaron Gordon, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Michael Porter Jr. and Bruce Brown would also look better without Murray. Tyler Herro is doubtful, so there are more minutes to go around for Miami. Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo both have increased opportunities, but both are relatively expensive. Gabe Vincent and Max Strus are strong values.

Edit: Tyler Herro ruled out.

Brooklyn Nets vs. New York Knicks

The Nets are interesting in real life, but they offer very little for fantasy. Julius Randle, Jalen Brunson and R.J. Barrett are always fine, but nothing stands out for the Knicks either.

Orlando Magic vs. Chicago Bulls

Paolo Banchero, Markelle Fultz and Jalen Suggs are the Orlando players most likely to be rostered, but none stand out as more than deep GPP options. DeMar DeRozan, Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic are always fine, but there are bigger priorities tonight.

New Orleans Pelicans vs. Oklahoma City Thunder

C.J. McCollum is questionable for the Pelicans, and even if he plays, Brandon Ingram is a clear priority. There is potential value on $3,000 Josh Richardson, but it’s not clear he has a big role out of the gate. Nothing stands out from Oklahoma City.

Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Dallas Mavericks

Rudy Gobert and Kyle Anderson are questionable for Minnesota. If they are in, there are no priorities to consider. However, Naz Reid looks great if Gobert is out, and Taurean Prince, Jaden McDaniels and Jaylen Nowell will likely benefit if Anderson is out. Luka Doncic is always playable, but he only looks like a secondary option tonight. There isn’t much else appealing from Dallas.

Latest NBA DFS Content

Washington Wizards vs. Golden State Warriors

Kyle Kuzma is questionable, but there is only a slight bump to Bradley Beal and Kristaps Porzingis if he is out. There are no priorities from Washington, but Jordan Poole still looks very good for Golden State. Andrew Wiggins, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green are secondary options.

Edit: Kyle Kuzma ruled out.

Los Angeles Lakers vs. Portland Trail Blazers

If LeBron James plays, he and Anthony Davis are viable but secondary options given their high salaries and the presence of other elite center options like Jokic and Embiid. If James is out, Davis becomes more appealing but still has to contend with those other top centers. Drew Eubanks is a lower-owned pivot at center and could be a sneaky play. On the Portland side, Damian Lillard, Anfernee Simons and Jerami Grant are all secondary options in a good matchup.

Edit: LeBron James ruled out, Jerami Grant ruled out.
