PrizePicks NBA Player Props | March 12

Kristaps Porzingis Over 4.5 Free Throws Made

Porzingis is a reliable free-throw shooter who has been averaging 5.7 made free throws per game this season. This is a full free throw ahead of this prop, which is set at 4.5. Even better, the Philadelphia 76ers are 23rd in defensive free-throw rate, meaning they are below average in keeping people off the line. This is a favorable matchup for Porzingis, and he should get more opportunities to shoot free throws. With this in mind, we are taking the over on 4.5 free throws made for Porzingis.

James Harden Under 6.5 Free Throws Made

While Harden has a reputation for being a player who shoots a lot of free throws, he is only averaging 5.8 made free throws per game this season. This is well below the 6.5 mark for this prop, and it’s not likely he will exceed this number against the Washington Wizards, who are fourth in the league in limiting free-throw attempts. This is a terrible matchup for Harden from a free-throw perspective. Moreover, he projects him to be in the game for 38 minutes, which should be enough time to get to the line but not enough to exceed 6.5 free throws made.

Kyle Kuzma Over 6.0 Rebounds

The line for Kuzma’s rebounds is set at 6.0, and he projects for 7.3 rebounds in this game. He is averaging 7.3 rebounds per game this season, which is well clear of the line. Additionally, the Philadelphia 76ers are 26th in offensive rebounding rate, which means they aren’t really keeping people off the defensive glass. This is a big benefit for Kuzma. They are also just an average defensive rebounding team, so there’s nothing crazy from an offensive rebounding standpoint. All signs point to this being a better rebounding matchup for Kuzma.

Damian Lillard Under 31.5 Points

Lillard is an excellent player, but he scored more than 31.5 points in under half his games this season. The Portland Trail Blazers are playing against the New Orleans Pelicans, who have been decent at defending the perimeter, with a 35.1% opponent’s 3-point shooting percentage. Moreover, Lillard has been in a slump lately, scoring only 22 points in his last game. While it’s possible that he could break out of his slump in this one, the odds are against him scoring over 31.5 points.
