The NFL returns with a loaded Week 10 slate. We’ve got 49ers-Jaguars, Lions-Chargers and Browns-Ravens all on the main slate, all of which will have meaningful consequences for the playoff race. Without further ado, let’s dive into the top NFL DFS quarterback picks and fades for Week 10. Our NFL DFS projections are high on Dak Prescott, but they’re low on Deshaun Watson at this week’s price point.
Top NFL DFS Quarterback Picks & Fades for Week 10: Dak Prescott, Deshaun Watson & More
NFL DFS Quarterback Picks for Week 10 | DraftKings & FanDuel
Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys
Price: $6,700 at DraftKings; $8,100 at FanDuel
Yeah, so Dak Prescott didn’t have to do much the last time the Dallas Cowboys faced the New York Giants. He only needed to throw for 143 yards and no touchdowns for the Cowboys to pull out the win. The good news is that with a blowout game script on the horizon, Prescott is surprisingly affordable.
Per our NFL DFS projections, Prescott ranks second in value among main-slate quarterbacks at both DraftKings and FanDuel and is expected to return 3.6x and 2.8x value, respectively. The Cowboys probably aren’t going to be lucky enough to start the game with a pair of defense or special teams touchdowns again.
Geno Smith, Seattle Seahawks
Price: $5,800 at DraftKings; $6,900 at FanDuel
Last week didn’t go as planned for Geno Smith and the Seattle Seahawks. The veteran quarterback compiled only 157 passing yards in the blowout loss. Fortunately, he’ll get a chance to bounce back against a shaky Washington Commanders team at Lumen Field this weekend.
Our NFL DFS projections like Geno Smith more than any other quarterback from a value perspective. He leads all main-slate quarterbacks in expected value at both sites and is projected to return 3.7x and 2.9x value, respectively — although that number could easily tick down if star wide receiver DK Metcalf gets ruled out.
NFL DFS Quarterback Fades for Week 10 | DraftKings & FanDuel
Deshaun Watson, Cleveland Browns
Price: $5,400 at DraftKings; $7,100 at FanDuel
Hey, buddy — you didn’t seriously see what the Ravens did to Geno Smith last week and expect Deshaun Watson would be a good play, did you? He is not. He is the biggest main-slate quarterback fade of the week against Baltimore’s rock-solid defense that has allowed the fewest total fantasy points to quarterbacks this year (92.4).
The Ravens aren’t a perfect defense, but they have a stacked and deep secondary that will make moving the ball downfield difficult for Watson and the Browns. The veteran quarterback is projected to return 2.4x and 1.9x value at DraftKings and FanDuel, respectively, the worst of all main-slate options.
C.J. Stroud, Houston Texans
Price: $6,600 at DraftKings; $6,900 at FanDuel
Those who faded C.J. Stroud last week paid the price. The rookie quarterback went off for 470 passing yards and five passing touchdowns. However, he now must face a Cincinnati Bengals team, and he might be without several key pieces, including lead wide receiver Nico Collins. Those injuries make Stroud an NFL DFS quarterback to fade.
Let the squares chase the points with Stroud this week. His salary has been adjusted for his Week 9 explosion, and he is projected to return only 2.6x and 2.3x value, respectively. However, that number will likely tick down as our NFL DFS projections are adjusted for Houston’s frighteningly long injury report.
