As we get ready for another exciting week of NFL action, we’re presented with another chance to make some serious cash in DFS. If you’re looking for NFL DFS advice when it comes to selecting the best quarterback, you’re in the right spot. Let’s dive into the top NFL DFS quarterback picks and fades for Week 4. Our NFL DFS projections are especially high on Kenny Pickett, but they’re low on Lamar Jackson at this week’s price point.
Top NFL DFS Quarterback Picks & Fades for Week 4: Kenny Pickett, Lamar Jackson & More
NFL DFS Quarterback Picks for Week 4 | DraftKings & FanDuel
Kenny Pickett, Pittsburgh Steelers
Pickett is a sharp play at DraftKings because of his bargain-bin $5,100 price point, but he is a decent play on an efficiently priced FanDuel slate as well. Pickett draws a matchup with the shaky Houston Texans defense, who are an above-average defense in terms of passing yardage allowed but are a below-average unit in terms of expected points added (EPA) per dropback.
Pickett is projected to return a slate-best 3.5x value at DraftKings. He is only projected to hit 2.6x value at FanDuel, but that’s good enough to make him the fourth-best quarterback value at the site. He may not be the world’s most exciting signal-caller, but he should get a chance to feast in Houston this weekend.
Justin Fields, Chicago Bears
The Chicago Bears will take on the Denver Broncos in the sicko game of the week. Denver’s defense coulds stop anything last week, coughing up 700-plus yards and 70 points, so it makes sense to see Justin Fields faring well in our NFL DFS projections despite his poor performance to start the year.
Fields will cost you $7,200 at FanDuel and is projected for a slate-best 2.8x value at the site. It’s still a good picture at DraftKings, where he is priced at $5,300 and is projected for 3.2x value, but he won’t give you as much of an advantage as some of the other options on the board.
NFL DFS Quarterback Fades for Week 4 | DraftKings & FanDuel
Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens
The Baltimore Ravens are running into a brick wall this weekend in the Cleveland Browns defense. The Browns lead the NFL in EPA allowed per play by a wide margin, and their stifling defense has caused problems for opponents’ passing and rushing attacks. But despite the tough matchup, Jackson isn’t coming at much of a discount, making him a sharp NFL DFS fade.
Jackson will cost you $7,700 at DraftKings and $8,200 at FanDuel. According to our NFL DFS projections, he should score fewer points than several cheaper options, including Justin Fields. While Cleveland’s exception start to the year on defense may not be sustainable, don’t pay up for Jackson in this spot — let the rest of the field hope for the Browns to collapse.
Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs
Although the Kansas City Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes form an elite passing offense, it’s not worth it to pay up for him this week. Mahomes draws a matchup with a tough New York Jets defense that ranks an above-average unit in EPA per play and boasts one of the league’s best pass rushes.
Mahomes will cost you $8,300 at DraftKings and $8,700 at FanDuel. While he is also one of the few quarterbacks projected to score more than 20 points, he just isn’t a good point-per-dollar option this week. Again, as with Jackson, let the rest of the field pay up to see what Mahomes can do.
