Top Stack: Arizona Cardinals

While the Bills are popping once again in the Stokastic Top Stacks Tool they also look set to carry immense ownership across all of their skill players, with Josh Allen set to be the highest-owned quarterback on the slate by a wide margin. The Cardinals have a great matchup against the Seattle Seahawks, whose defense is last in the league in several categories, including yards per pass attempt against. Kyler Murray hasn’t had the monster start to the year that he had last year but his receiving core is getting healthy as this will mark the third game of the year for Rondale Moore, who converted six of seven targets into catches last week. Moore has converted 84% of his targets into catches since coming into the league with Murray as his quarterback and makes for a great way to start a Murray-centric stack.

With Arizona projecting third in the Stokastic Top Stack Tool, going for a double stack with Marquise Brown in this spot seems reasonable as well. The value pieces like Eno Benjamin in this game will be immensely popular on this slate (Benjamin is out highest-owned play of the week) so leaving him out will give you a more build, and also let us use Kenneth Walker III on the other side of this game.

Zach Ertz is the final piece of the puzzle worth mentioning for Arizona. He’s got a great matchup against a Seahawks team who doesn’t cover the middle of the field well at all. Ertz’s true upside is linked to volume but given that Seattle has allowed the most yards and third most touchdowns to opposing tight ends this year, his ceiling gets a nice boost here as well. As only the third-highest-owned tight end on the slate, Ertz is another way to game stack the Cardinals passing game and gives you a solid pivot off Benjamin.

Top Low-Owned Stack: Cincinnati Bengals

The Bengals aren’t projecting for much heat on this slate as Joe Burrow’s ownership on Stokastic is hovering around the 2.7% mark as of writing. With that said, the Bengals are certainly worth looking at this week as a lower-owned stack as they do rank out sixth in the Stokastic Top Stack Tool and have a matchup against a team in New Orleans whose secondary has been allowing big plays to opposing receivers at an alarming rate. The Saints have allowed 100-yard games in back-to-back weeks to an opposing receiver and also gave up three touchdowns to the Seahawks elite receiver duo. That should mean good things for Ja’Marr Chase this week who is projecting for well under 10% owned in this spot on Stokastic. Chase’s production has dipped immensely since Week 1 but he’s still in possession of an elite 27% team target share on the year and may see heavy usage in this spot with the injury issues currently being faced by Tee Higgins.

The Saints still have an above average run defense (even though they allowed a long touchdown on the ground to Seattle last week) so double stacking Joe Burrow with another receiver in this spot feels like the best move. With Higgins feeling very iffy to be a factor after practicing lightly all week, this is a great spot to use Tyler Boyd, who is carrying around 1.0% to 1.5% ownership in the NFL DFS ownership projections. Boyd has only caught five passes the last two weeks, but he’ll be needed more in this spot against the Saints funnel defense and his four-catch, 100-yard game in Week 2 against the Jets is a good reminder that he still carries elite upside despite being third fiddle in this offense.

Alvin Kamara makes for a good come back play in this spot as well in a game that shouldn’t carry much total ownership on the studs but features lots of marquee players capable of breaking the slate at low ownership.

Tournament Leverage Stack: Kansas City Chiefs

With the Bills – Chiefs 54-point total, there is no reason to fade the game altogether. It may make sense, though, to be more overweight on the Kansas City side, as the Bills are projecting for massive ownership. The Kansas City side is interesting for DFS purposes as they could still be dominated by the Bills DST and end up as the side with better fantasy production. Any DST score by Buffalo or a strong game for Devin Singletary could repress the passing numbers of the Bills and lead to Patrick Mahomes airing it out even more than usual.

Whenever Mahomes has less than 7% to 8% ownership, he is at least worth a look. He may not be throwing downfield as much this season, but he’s still thrown for at least three touchdowns in three of his five starts and has rushed for 25 or more yards in each of his last three games. Pairing Mahomes with Travis Kelce is also incredibly easy and, while we’re not likely to get four touchdowns from Kelce again, he’s also projecting for well under 10% ownership and went for 96 yards and a touchdown on eight catches against Buffalo in the playoffs last year.

The Mahomes-Kelce low-owned stack can be easily supplemented with a cheap dart throw on a receiver like Marquez Valdes-Scantling, as well. He’s coming off what was easily his best game as a Chief where he averaged 15 yards per catch and showed increased depth of target. With Buffalo’s secondary still banged up, a second strong game could materialize if Kansas City does get behind early.
