The 2023 Masters is just hours away, and we can’t wait to make our top PGA DFS picks for the tournament.
There will be no shortage of drama this year, as LIV players return to join the best players in the world in Georgia this week competing for golf’s greatest prize – a green jacket. With a few changes that were made to the course this year, Augusta National will play at its longest length ever – over 7,500 yards.
Augusta National is the most predictive of any course on tour in terms of course history, therefore it will be weighted much heavier in my model than I would on a normal week.
Let’s make some money this week!

Top DFS Picks for 2023 Masters Tournament
Rory McIlroy – $10,600
Rory headlines our core plays as the cheapest of the players priced above $10k on DraftKings this week. The only accolade missing from Rory’s Hall-of-Fame career is a green jacket, which would complete his career grand slam.
He’s come close many times at Augusta, with seven top-10’s and four top-5’s including a second-place finish last year. A change in the setup of his driver at the Match Play event led to a third-place finish and some of the best driving displays we’ve seen from him in recent years. He ranks top-5 in this field over the last 36 rounds in SG: OTT, SG: APP, Birdie or Better percentage, and bogey avoidance. He also ranks top-5 in this field in Total Strokes Gained at Augusta National.
We’re all in on our top projected golfer this week!

Tony Finau – $8,900
With three wins on tour last season, the floodgates appear to have opened for Tony Finau. Aside from a missed cut to kick off his swing season in November, he doesn’t have a finish worse than 28th dating back to the PGA Championship last May.
The consistency in his game from tee to green has been a staple in his game for years and provides him with a clear path to the top of the leaderboard at Augusta National. In five career starts, Finau has three top-10 finishes and has never lost strokes to the field in this illustrious event.
Over the last 36 rounds, Finau ranks top 10 in SG: App, SG: Putting, Birdie or Better percentage, bogey avoidance, and Greens in Regulation. He has all the tools necessary to win this event. Priced under $9,000, he’s an excellent value play this week.
Will Zalatoris – $8,200
There have been some concerns surrounding Zalatoris’ health since his WD from the BMW Championship last August, and for good reason. With only one top-10 finish this season, it’s fair to question if the rising star is truly ready to compete again. However, the risks appear to be built into his tantalizing price tag this week, and we’re taking the bait.
In two career Masters starts, Zalatoris finished 2nd and 6th and has the game for sustained success in this event for years to come. With little-to-no rough to speak of on the grounds at Augusta National, his driving accuracy concerns are greatly limited and his length becomes even more of a weapon. Even with the recent injuries he’s played through, he still ranks top 15 in this field in SG: OTT, GIRs gained, SG: Par 5s, and driving distance.
We’ll be taking advantage of the uncertainty surrounding Zalatoris this week, and betting on his elite ball striking profile to continue.

Corey Conners, $7,600
Conners is coming off his second career win at the Valero Texas Open and enters Augusta in prime form. As another elite player from tee to green, Conners has found significant success at the Masters in his career. In five career starts, he boasts three top-10 finishes and has improved his finishing position each year.
With the pricing for the Masters released before the conclusion of the Valero, Conners is certainly underpriced for his usual performance. Combined with the recency bias the field tends to attach itself to, we can expect Conners to be a somewhat popular play in this price range. However, considering his ball striking profile, good recent form, and excellent course history, we are willing to eat the chalk here.
Adrian Meronk, $6,400
Meronk, a GPP flier, is a Masters debutant that we should approach with caution. Given the nuances of Augusta National, experience often plays a key factor in this event. However, in recent years, the narrative around first-timers has started to shift.
Jason Day, Jordan Spieth, Will Zalatoris, Tony Finau, and Sungjae Im all had top-10 finishes in their first start at the Masters, so why not Meronk?
The 6’5″ Poland native has enjoyed a great career on the European tour and is ranked 59th in the official world golf rankings. In his limited time on the PGA Tour, he has showcased impressive form, highlighted by a top-15 finish at the Honda Classic in February.
While Meronk’s play isn’t without risk, the reward is there for a player with this sort of upside at this price. With only a 2% projected ownership, we’re willing to take a few shots on him as a large field tournament differentiator in our lineups.
